2026-09-18dt-bindings: net: dsa: microchip: Add KSZ8995XALinus Walleij
The KSZ8995XA is just like the KSZ8795 and KSZ8864 a Micrel product. It was renamed from KS8995XA to KSZ8995XA at some point, but it has the same properties as the KS8995XA. Be careful to use the full product name in this new compatible: there is also KSZ8995MA and KSZ8995E which are not compatible with the KS8995XA. 2026-09-15dt-bindings: net: Use consistent indentation in the exampleKrzysztof Kozlowski
Correct indentation in the examples to consistent 2- or 4-spaces indentation to fix dt-check-style warnings ("example 0 [indent-consistent] indent mismatch ..."). Preferred is 4-spaces, but re-indenting entire example just for that is too much churn. In cortina,gemini-ethernet.yaml also drop the wrongly indented mdio bus, because it is not necessary for the example. 2026-09-02dt-bindings: net: dsa: realtek: add RTL8365MB power suppliesOleksij Rempel
Document the RTL8365MB power rails as optional supplies. They are optional because the rails are often always-on; some designs break them out for granular hwmon monitoring and regulator control. They are scoped to realtek,rtl8365mb: different Realtek switch families use different power-rail naming schemes, so these rails do not apply to other families such as realtek,rtl8366rb (VDDA/VDD_CORE/VDDIO/...). Add device tree bindings for the MediaTek MT7628 embedded Ethernet Switch. 2026-07-22dt-bindings: net: dsa: mediatek,mt7530: add econet,en7528-switchAhmed Naseef
The EcoNet EN7528 MIPS SoC integrates an MT7530 Gigabit switch, memory-mapped in the SoC register space like the built-in switches of the MediaTek MT7988 and Airoha EN7581/AN7583 SoCs. Its four user ports are connected to integrated Gigabit PHYs and its CPU port is connected internally to the SoC Ethernet MAC. Those three switches are MT7531-based, whereas the EN7528 has a genuine MT7530 switch core (its chip revision register reads 0x7530). The two generations differ in their register programming - for example the CPU port is selected through the MT7530-style MFC register rather than the MT7531 CFC register - so the EN7528 is not compatible with the existing switch compatibles and cannot fall back to one of them. Add the econet,en7528-switch compatible, with the same constraints as the other built-in switches. 2026-06-04dt-bindings: net: dsa: remove obsolete dsa.txtAkash Sukhavasi
dsa.txt has been a redirect to dsa.yaml since commit bce58590d1bd ("dt-bindings: net: dsa: Add DSA yaml binding") introduced the .yaml schema. The .yaml has the same filename in the same directory, making this redirect unnecessary for discoverability. Two files still reference dsa.txt, forcing readers through an extra hop to reach the .yaml. The stub has not been touched since August 2020. Update references in lan9303.txt and Documentation/networking/dsa/dsa.rst to point directly to dsa.yaml and remove the stub. 2026-05-21dt-bindings: net: dsa: add NETC switchWei Fang
Add bindings for NETC switch. This switch is a PCIe function of NETC IP, it supports advanced QoS with 8 traffic classes and 4 drop resilience levels, and a full range of TSN standards capabilities. The switch CPU port connects to an internal ENETC port, which is also a PCIe function of NETC IP. So these two ports use a light-weight "pseudo MAC" instead of a back-to-back MAC, because the "pseudo MAC" provides the delineation between switch and ENETC, this translates to lower power (less logic and memory) and lower delay (as there is no serialization delay across this link). 2026-05-21dt-bindings: net: dsa: update the description of 'dsa, member' propertyWei Fang
The current description indicates that the 'dsa, member' property cannot be set for a switch that is not part of any cluster. Vladimir thinks that this is a case where the actual technical limitation was poorly transposed into words when this restriction was first documented, in commit 8c5ad1d6179d ("net: dsa: Document new binding"). The true technical limitation is that many DSA tagging protocols are topology-unaware, and always call dsa_conduit_find_user() with a switch_id of 0. Specifying a custom "dsa, member" property with a non-zero switch_id would break them. Therefore, for topology-aware switches, it is fine to specify this property for them, even if they are not part of any cluster. Our NETC switch is a good example which is topology-aware, the switch_id is carried in the switch tag, but the switch_id 0 is reserved for VEPA switch and cannot be used, so we need to use this property to assign a non-zero switch_id for it. 2026-04-12dt-bindings: net: dsa: nxp,sja1105: make spi-cpol optional for sja1110Josua Mayer
Currently, the binding requires 'spi-cpha' for SJA1105 and 'spi-cpol' for SJA1110. However, the SJA1110 supports both SPI modes 0 and 2. Mode 2 (cpha=0, cpol=1) is used by the NXP LX2160 Bluebox 3. On the SolidRun i.MX8DXL HummingBoard Telematics, mode 0 is stable, while forcing mode 2 introduces CRC errors especially during bursts. Drop the requirement on spi-cpol for SJA1110. 2025-11-06dt-bindings: net: dsa: lantiq, gswip: add support for MII delay propertiesDaniel Golle
Add support for standard tx-internal-delay-ps and rx-internal-delay-ps properties on port nodes to allow fine-tuning of RGMII clock delays. The GSWIP switch hardware supports delay values in 500 picosecond increments from 0 to 3500 picoseconds, with a post-reset default of 2000 picoseconds for both TX and RX delays. The driver currently sets the delay to 0 in case the PHY is setup to carry out the delay by the corresponding interface modes ("rgmii-id", "rgmii-rxid", "rgmii-txid"). This corresponds to the driver changes that allow adjusting MII delays using Device Tree properties instead of relying solely on the PHY interface mode. 2025-06-27dt-bindings: dsa: Rewrite Micrel KS8995 in schemaLinus Walleij
After studying the datasheets for some of the KS8995 variants it becomes pretty obvious that this is a straight-forward and simple MII DSA switch with one port in (CPU) and four outgoing ports, and it even supports custom tags by setting a bit in a special register, and elaborate VLAN handling as all DSA switches do. What is a bit odd with KS8995 is that it uses an extra MII-P5 port to access one of the PHYs separately, on the side of the switch fabric, such as when using a WAN port separately from a LAN switch in a home router. KSZ8895/KSZ8864 is a switch family developed before KSZ8795 and after KSZ8863, so it shares some registers and functions in those switches. KSZ8895 has 5 ports and so is more similar to KSZ8795. Convert the lantiq, gswip bindings to YAML format. Also add this new file to the MAINTAINERS file. Furthermore, the CPU port has to specify a phy-mode and either a phy or a fixed-link.
