In a VM, Linux panic information (reason for the panic, stack trace,
etc.) may be written to a serial console and/or a virtual frame buffer
for a graphics console. The latter may need to be flushed back to the
host hypervisor for display.
The current Hyper-V DRM driver for the frame buffer does the flushing
*after* the VMBus connection has been unloaded, such that panic messages
are not displayed on the graphics console. A user with a Hyper-V graphics
console is left with just a hung empty screen after a panic. The enhanced
control that DRM provides over the panic display in the graphics console
is similarly non-functional.
Commit 3671f3777758 ("drm/hyperv: Add support for drm_panic") added
the Hyper-V DRM driver support to flush the virtual frame buffer. It
provided necessary functionality but did not handle the sequencing
problem with VMBus unload.
Fix the full problem by using VMBus functions to suppress the VMBus
unload that is normally done by the VMBus driver in the panic path. Then
after the frame buffer has been flushed, do the VMBus unload so that a
kdump kernel can start cleanly. As expected, CONFIG_DRM_PANIC must be
selected for these changes to have effect. As a side benefit, the
enhanced features of the DRM panic path are also functional.

The KMS framework uses two slightly different definitions for the state
concept. For a given object (plane, CRTC, encoder, etc., so
drm_$OBJECT_state), the state is the entire state of that object.
However, at the device level, drm_atomic_state refers to a state update
for a limited number of objects.
Thus, drm_atomic_state isn't the entire device state, but only the full
state of some objects in that device. This has been an endless source of
confusion and thus bugs.
We can rename the drm_atomic_state structure to drm_atomic_commit to
make it less confusing.
This patch was created using:
rg -l drm_atomic_state | \
xargs sed -i 's/drm_atomic_state/drm_atomic_commit/g; s/drm_atomic_commit_helper/drm_atomic_state_helper/g'

HyperV's virtual hardware does not provide vblank interrupts. Use a
vblank timer to simulate the interrupt. Rate-limits the display's
update frequency to the display-mode settings. Avoids excessive CPU

Drop simple-KMS in favor of regular atomic helpers to make the code more
modular. The simple-KMS helper mix up plane and CRTC state, so it is
obsolete and should go away [1]. Since it just split the simple-pipe
functions into per-plane and per-CRTC, no functional changes is
expected.

Rename struct dma_buf_map to struct iosys_map and corresponding APIs.
Over time dma-buf-map grew up to more functionality than the one used by
dma-buf: in fact it's just a shim layer to abstract system memory, that
can be accessed via regular load and store, from IO memory that needs to
be acessed via arch helpers.
The idea is to extend this API so it can fulfill other needs, internal
to a single driver. Example: in the i915 driver it's desired to share
the implementation for integrated graphics, which uses mostly system
memory, with discrete graphics, which may need to access IO memory.
The conversion was mostly done with the following semantic patch:

Hyper-V supports a hardware cursor feature. It is not used by Linux VM,
but the Hyper-V host still draws a point as an extra mouse pointer,
which is unwanted, especially when Xorg is running.
The hyperv_fb driver uses synthvid_send_ptr() to hide the unwanted pointer.
When the hyperv_drm driver was developed, the function synthvid_send_ptr()
was not copied from the hyperv_fb driver. Fix the issue by adding the
function into hyperv_drm.
