2026-07-08usbip: tools: support SuperSpeedPlus devicesYichong Chen
USB devices running at SuperSpeedPlus report "10000" or "20000" in their sysfs speed attribute. usbip currently maps only "5000" to USB_SPEED_SUPER, so a SuperSpeedPlus device is imported as USB_SPEED_UNKNOWN. The attach request is then rejected by vhci_hcd: vhci_hcd: Failed attach request for unsupported USB speed: UNKNOWN Map the SuperSpeedPlus sysfs speed values to USB_SPEED_SUPER_PLUS, use the SuperSpeed VHCI hub for SuperSpeedPlus devices, and recognize the gadget current_speed string used by the kernel. 2026-04-11usbip: tools: add hint when no exported devices are foundZongmin Zhou
When refresh_exported_devices() finds no devices, it's helpful to inform users about potential causes. This could be due to: 1. The usbip driver module is not loaded. 2. No devices have been exported yet. Add an informational message to guide users when ndevs == 0. Also update the condition in usbip_host_driver_open() and usbip_device_driver_open() to check both ret and ndevs == 0, and change err() to info(). Message visibility by scenario: - usbipd (console mode): Show on console/serial, this allows instant visibility for debugging. - usbipd -D (daemon mode): Message logged to syslog, can keep logs for later traceability in production. Also can use "journalctl -f" to trace on console. This isn't really accurate right. fread() doesn't always return 0 in error. It could return < number of elements and set errno. 2019-07-25usbip: tools: fix GCC8 warning for strncpyLiu, Changcheng
GCC8 started emitting warning about using strncpy with number of bytes exactly equal destination size which could lead to non-zero terminated string being copied. Use "SYSFS_PATH_MAX - 1" & "SYSFS_BUS_ID_SIZE - 1" as number of bytes to ensure name is always zero-terminated.
