of_graph_get_next_port() consumes the reference of its prev argument.
port0 is only borrowed from the caller's iterator, so the call drops a
reference the function does not own, and port0 is dereferenced again
afterwards. Pass an extra reference, as graph_count_c2c() does, so the
reference the callee consumes is the one taken here.

Chancel Liu <chancel.liu@oss.nxp.com> says:
simple_util_init_jack() acquires a jack detection GPIO with
gpiod_get_optional() and passes it to snd_soc_jack_add_gpios(), which
also installs an IRQ handler, a PM notifier, a delayed work and a sysfs
export for it. None of simple-card, audio-graph-card or
audio-graph-card2 implements a card->remove() callback, so none of this
is ever released.
That goes unnoticed while the card is only torn down together with its
platform device, because the devres cleanup registered by
snd_soc_jack_add_gpios() is tied to that platform device. It becomes a
problem once the card alone is unregistered and registered again while
the platform device stays bound - for instance when a codec component is
unbound and bound again. card->probe() then runs a second time and
gpiod_get_optional() fails with -EBUSY, because the descriptor is still
held by the previous bind. The card is not registered again and audio
stays broken until the platform device itself is unbound.
Patch 1 adds the simple_util_remove_jack() helper, patches 2-4 wire it
up in the three generic card drivers.
Verified with audio-graph-card2 and a wm8962 codec using hp-det-gpios.
Before the series, the first
echo 3-001a > /sys/bus/i2c/drivers/wm8962/unbind
echo 3-001a > /sys/bus/i2c/drivers/wm8962/bind
leaves the GPIO line and IRQ claimed while the card is gone, and the
re-bind fails with
ASoC error (-16): at graph_util_card_probe()
ASoC error (-16): at snd_soc_card_probe() on wm8962-audio
after which the sound card never comes back. With the series applied,
both codec unbind/bind and platform unbind/bind cycles release the GPIO
and IRQ on unbind and fully restore the card.

audio-graph-card2 uses graph_util_card_probe() to set up the headphone
and microphone jacks, but never released them again, so the jack GPIO,
its IRQ, the PM notifier, the delayed work and the sysfs export stayed
claimed when the card was unbound. Re-binding the card alone - for
instance after a codec component is unbound and bound again - then made
graph_util_card_probe() fail with -EBUSY and the card was never
registered again.
Hook up the graph_util_card_remove() counterpart added for
audio-graph-card.

graph_util_card_probe() sets up the headphone and microphone jacks,
which takes a reference on the jack detection GPIO and registers an IRQ,
a PM notifier, a delayed work and a sysfs export for it. audio-graph-card
has no card->remove() callback, so none of this is released when the card
is torn down.
This goes unnoticed while the card is only torn down together with its

gpiod_get_optional() fails with -EBUSY, because the descriptor is still
held by the previous bind. The card is not registered again and audio
stays broken until the platform device itself is unbound.
Add graph_util_card_remove() as the counterpart of
graph_util_card_probe() and hook it to card->remove. It lives in
simple-card-utils.c so that audio-graph-card2 can use it as well.

simple_util_init_jack() acquires a GPIO descriptor with
gpiod_get_optional() and hands it to snd_soc_jack_add_gpios(), which
additionally installs an IRQ handler, a PM notifier, a delayed work and
a sysfs export for it. simple-card-utils has no counterpart that
releases any of this again.
Add simple_util_remove_jack(), the counterpart of
simple_util_init_jack(). It releases the jack GPIO and everything
snd_soc_jack_add_gpios() installed for it via snd_soc_jack_free_gpios(),
and clears sjack->gpio.desc so the descriptor is not left dangling after
it has been put.
This gives the generic card drivers a card->remove() path to release the
jack when the card goes away. The devres cleanup alone is not enough:
it is tied to the platform device, so it does not run when the card is
unregistered and re-registered while the platform device stays bound -
for example when a codec component is unbound and bound again.

This is another run of the Coccinelle script for converting kmalloc()
family of allocations to kmalloc_obj() via the existing rules in
scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci
This catches both the set of kmalloc() uses added since the first
kmalloc_obj() conversions in v7.0 and adds a large group missed in the
first pass due to Coccinelle not interacting well with the cleanup.h
scoped_...() family of macros[1]. I worked around this with spatch's
"--macro-file" argument to a file with all the scoped_...() macros mapped
to Coccinelle's YACFE_ITERATOR[2] as that was the closest viable control
flow indicator I could find.
Build tested allmodconfig on x86, arm64, arm, loongarch, mips, powerpc,
riscv, and s390 with no new warnings.

Sometimes the DAI format must be specified in the audio-graph-card2
device tree, so emitting a warning can be misleading. Revert back to
emitting no warning.
A few examples where automatic format selection might not be applicable:
- For DPCM, where the other side of the DAI link is not apparent, no
proper selection can actually be made. This can lead to disagreeing
formats.
- Due to hardware peculiarities, some ostensibly supported formats might
not work in practice.
In either case, the only correct solution is for the sound card to set
the format

simple_parse_dai() and graph_util_parse_dai() first try to identify a
DAI via dai_args. When that works the card can rebind without relying on
dlc->dai_name.
The fallback path still calls snd_soc_get_dlc(), which returns a
borrowed dai_name pointer. If the CPU or codec component is unbound
while the sound card stays registered, the generic card keeps that
pointer and the next rebind may compare stale memory while matching the
DAI.
Stage the fallback result in a temporary dai_link_component and move
only a card-owned copy of dai_name into the live link component. Use
devm_kstrdup_const() so static names are reused and dynamic ones remain
valid for the lifetime of the card device.

snd_soc_add_pcm_runtime() by commit 0c04800424c4 ("ASoC: soc-core:
rename snd_soc_add_dai_link() to snd_soc_add_pcm_runtime()").
In simple-card.c, also adjust the wording since snd_soc_add_pcm_runtime()
no longer uses "xxx_of_node" fields but matches components by of_node
through snd_soc_find_dai() and snd_soc_is_matching_component().
In simple-card-utils.c, simply update the function name to its
successor snd_soc_add_pcm_runtime().

The audio-graph-card2 gets the value of 'playback-only' and

graph_util_is_ports0() identifies DPCM front-end (ports@0) vs back-end
(ports@1) by calling of_get_child_by_name() to find the first "ports"
child and comparing pointers. This relies on child iteration order
matching DTS source order.
When the DPCM topology comes from a DT overlay, __of_attach_node()
inserts new children at the head of the sibling list, reversing the
order. of_get_child_by_name() then returns ports@1 instead of ports@0,
causing all front-end links to be classified as back-ends. The card
registers with no PCM devices.
Fix this by matching the unit address directly from the node name
instead of relying on sibling order.

When simple-audio-card programs sysclk for CPU and codec DAIs during
hw_params, the ordering of these calls may matter on some platforms.
Some CPU DAIs finalize or adjust the MCLK rate as part of their
set_sysclk() callback (for example by calling clk_set_rate()). If the
codec sysclk is configured before the CPU DAI applies the final MCLK
rate, the codec may configure its internal clocking based on a
non-final MCLK value.
Such situations can arise depending on the clock provider/consumer
relationship between the CPU DAI and the codec.
Introduce an explicit sysclk ordering enum in simple-card-utils and use
it to control the order of snd_soc_dai_set_sysclk() calls in the mclk-fs
handling path. The default behaviour remains unchanged (codec-first)
to avoid regressions.

This was done entirely with mindless brute force, using
git grep -l '\<k[vmz]*alloc_objs*(.*, GFP_KERNEL)' |
xargs sed -i 's/\(alloc_objs*(.*\), GFP_KERNEL)/\1)/'
to convert the new alloc_obj() users that had a simple GFP_KERNEL
argument to just drop that argument.
Note that due to the extreme simplicity of the scripting, any slightly
more complex cases spread over multiple lines would not be triggered:
they definitely exist, but this covers the vast bulk of the cases, and
the resulting diff is also then easier to check automatically.
For the same reason the 'flex' versions will be done as a separate
conversion.

This is the result of running the Coccinelle script from
scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci. The script is designed to
avoid scalar types (which need careful case-by-case checking), and
instead replace kmalloc-family calls that allocate struct or union
object instances:
Single allocations: kmalloc(sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with: kmalloc_obj(TYPE, ...)
Array allocations: kmalloc_array(COUNT, sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with: kmalloc_objs(TYPE, COUNT, ...)
Flex array allocations: kmalloc(struct_size(PTR, FAM, COUNT), ...)
are replaced with: kmalloc_flex(*PTR, FAM, COUNT, ...)
(where TYPE may also be *VAR)
The resulting allocations no longer return "void *", instead returning
"TYPE *".

Even the device node don't exist, the graph_util_parse_link_direction()

cause the playback_only and capture_only are not correct, so check device

Current Kconfig menu at [ALSA for SoC audio support] has no rules.
So, some venders are using menu style, some venders are listed each drivers
on top page, etc. It is difficult to find target vender and/or drivers
because it is very random.
Let's standardize ASoC menu

Merge series from Philipp Stanner <phasta@kernel.org>:
A year ago we spent quite some work trying to get PCI into better shape.
Some pci_ functions can be sometimes managed with devres, which is
obviously bad. We want to provide an obvious API, where pci_ functions
are never, and pcim_ functions are always managed.
Thus, everyone enabling his device with pcim_enable_device() must be
ported to pcim_ functions. Porting all users will later enable us to
significantly simplify parts of the PCI subsystem. See here [1] for
details.
This patch series does that for sound.
Feel free to squash the commits as you see fit.

Actually check if the passed pointers are valid, before writing to them.
This also fixes a USBAN warning:
UBSAN: invalid-load in ../sound/soc/fsl/imx-card.c:687:25
load of value 255 is not a valid value for type '_Bool'
This is because playback_only is uninitialized and is not written to, as
the playback-only property is absent.

Current graph_util_parse_dai() has 2 issue for dlc->xxx handling.
1) dlc->xxx might be filled if snd_soc_get_dai_via_args() (A) works.
In such case it will fill dlc->xxx first (B), and detect error
after that (C). We need to fill dlc->xxx in success case only.
(A) dai = snd_soc_get_dai_via_args(&args);
if (dai) {
ret = -ENOMEM;
^ dlc->of_node = ...
(B) dlc->dai_name = ...
v dlc->dai_args = ...
(C) if (!dlc->dai_args)
goto end;
...
}
2) graph_util_parse_dai() itself has 2 patterns (X)(Y) to fill dlc->xxx.
Both case, we need to call of_node_put(node) (Z) in error case, but we
are calling it only in (Y) case.
int graph_util_parse_dai(...)
{
...
dai = snd_soc_get_dai_via_args(&args);
if (dai) {
...
^ dlc->of_node = ...
(X) dlc->dai_name = ...
v dlc->dai_args = ...
...
}
...
(Y) ret = snd_soc_get_dlc(&args, dlc);
if (ret < 0) {
(Z) of_node_put(node);
...
}
...
}
This patch fixup both case. Make it easy to understand, update
lavel "end" to "err", too.

The test-component driver implements various stub callbacks. One
of the ones it doesn't implement is set_tdm_slot. This has no
functional impact on whether ASoC core believes test-component to
do TDM or not, it just means that any TDM configuration can't
readily be dumped for debugging purposes like it can with the other
callbacks.
Add a stub implementation to allow for this. The output uses dev_info
rather than dev_dbg, to be in line with the set_fmt stub implementation
above.
