The Nova Lake PCD-S S0ix_LPM telemetry layout changed. The PCD-S telemetry
GUID was changed to reflect the layout change, per the client GUID
revision rule.
nvl_pcds_d3_status_1_map[] was correctly updated, but two companion
constants were never updated to match:
1. NVL_PCDS_NUM_S0IX_BLOCKER (core.h) is 71 instead of the actual
number of blk == 1 entries across nvl_pcds_blk_maps.
2. PCDS_LPM_REQ_GUID (nvl.c) is still 0x01091102. It was never
bumped to 0x01091103 to reflect the S0ix_LPM telemetry metadata
layout change.
Both constants describe the same S0ix_LPM/blocker telemetry region
for PCD-S, so fix them together in one change.

This is another run of the Coccinelle script for converting kmalloc()
family of allocations to kmalloc_obj() via the existing rules in
scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci
This catches both the set of kmalloc() uses added since the first
kmalloc_obj() conversions in v7.0 and adds a large group missed in the
first pass due to Coccinelle not interacting well with the cleanup.h
scoped_...() family of macros[1]. I worked around this with spatch's
"--macro-file" argument to a file with all the scoped_...() macros mapped
to Coccinelle's YACFE_ITERATOR[2] as that was the closest viable control
flow indicator I could find.
Build tested allmodconfig on x86, arm64, arm, loongarch, mips, powerpc,
riscv, and s390 with no new warnings.

pmc_core_pmt_get_lpm_req() returns the last telemetry read status. When
firmware exposes no enabled low-power modes, the loop does not run
and the function returns an uninitialized stack value.

The SSRAM telemetry driver extracts essential PMC device ID and power
management base address information that intel_pmc_core depends on for core
functionality. If PMT registration failure prevents this critical data from
being available, intel_pmc_core operation would break entirely. Therefore,
PMT registration failures must not block access to this data.
Change the behavior to log a warning when PMT registration fails but
continue with successful driver initialization, ensuring the primary
telemetry data remains accessible to dependent drivers.

Prepare the SSRAM telemetry driver for ACPI-based discovery by adding
support for reading telemetry regions from ACPI _DSD properties.
Add pmc_ssram_telemetry_acpi_init() to parse _DSD for telemetry discovery
tables and register them with the Intel VSEC framework. Extend ssram_type
with a p_index field to specify which PMC index each ACPI device owns
(unlike PCI which discovers all three PMCs from one device).
At this stage, no platform IDs are wired to use ACPI discovery - existing
devices continue using the PCI path. Follow-on patches will add platform
support.

Replace devm-allocated pmc_ssram_telems pointer with a fixed-size static
array and introduce per-index probe state tracking.
This prepares the driver for later per-device probe handling where tying
the PMC tracking storage to one probed PCI device is no longer suitable.
The previous single global device_probed flag cannot describe the state of
individual PMC indices when multiple devices can be probed independently.
Replace it with per-index state (UNPROBED, PROBING, PRESENT, ABSENT) and a
staging cache that publishes discovered values only after probe completes.
This avoids races between probe/unbind and concurrent readers.
Use marked state accesses with release/acquire ordering to prevent compiler
and CPU reordering issues across concurrent probe/unbind cycles.
This patch was substantially rewritten in later revisions. Originally
developed from earlier work by Xi Pardee.

Add an ACPI-based PMC PWRM telemetry driver for Nova Lake S. The driver
locates PMT discovery data in _DSD under the Intel VSEC UUID, parses it,
and registers telemetry regions with the PMT/VSEC framework so PMC
telemetry is exposed via existing PMT interfaces.
Export pmc_parse_telem_dsd() and pmc_find_telem_guid() to support ACPI
discovery in other PMC drivers (e.g., ssram_telemetry) without duplicating
ACPI parsing logic. Also export acpi_disc_t typedef from core.h for callers
to properly declare discovery table arrays.

convert_ltr_scale() emits an unconditional pr_warn() whenever an LTR row
encoded by hardware has a scale-factor field of 6 or 7 (reserved values
per the PCIe LTR ECN). The function is called twice per LTR row (snoop
+ non-snoop) by pmc_core_ltr_show(), which is invoked on every read of
/sys/kernel/debug/pmc_core/ltr_show as well as during certain platform
driver activity.
On a Meteor Lake laptop with an Intel AX210 Wi-Fi card, this produces
4-12 "Invalid LTR scale factor." lines per second in dmesg, with no
context to help identify which PMC IP / row carries the bad value.
Switch to pr_warn_once() so the warning still flags the spec violation
once per boot, and include the offending scale value in the message.
Identifying the originating LTR row would require restructuring the
caller's loop to perform the validity check itself; that is left as a
separate change.

Update the Intel PMC Core driver to fetch PMC information only for
available PMCs. Previously, the driver attempted to retrieve PMC info
even when the corresponding PMC was not present.
This change aligns with recent updates to the Intel SSRAM Telemetry
driver. Starting with NVL, the SSRAM Telemetry driver is probed for
each individual SSRAM device. The prior implementation could not
differentiate between an unavailable PMC and one that had not yet
completed information retrieval. To resolve this, the PMC Core driver
now skips obtaining PMC info for unavailable PMCs.

Update the PMC SSRAM discovery process to identify the device using its
PCI Device ID rather than relying on a fixed PCI bus location. The
enumeration of integrated devices on the PCI bus is no longer guaranteed
to be consistent across CPUs.
On earlier platforms, the IOE and PCH SSRAM devices were hidden from the
BIOS, and the SOC SSRAM device is associated to telemetry regions from all
available SSRAM devices. Starting with Nova Lake, the IOE and PCH SSRAM
devices register their telemetry regions independently, meaning each
telemetry region is now linked to its corresponding SSRAM device. A new
ssram_hidden attribute has been added to the pmc_dev_info structure to

This was done entirely with mindless brute force, using
git grep -l '\<k[vmz]*alloc_objs*(.*, GFP_KERNEL)' |
xargs sed -i 's/\(alloc_objs*(.*\), GFP_KERNEL)/\1)/'
to convert the new alloc_obj() users that had a simple GFP_KERNEL
argument to just drop that argument.
Note that due to the extreme simplicity of the scripting, any slightly
more complex cases spread over multiple lines would not be triggered:
they definitely exist, but this covers the vast bulk of the cases, and
the resulting diff is also then easier to check automatically.
For the same reason the 'flex' versions will be done as a separate
conversion.

This is the result of running the Coccinelle script from
scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci. The script is designed to
avoid scalar types (which need careful case-by-case checking), and
instead replace kmalloc-family calls that allocate struct or union
object instances:
Single allocations: kmalloc(sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with: kmalloc_obj(TYPE, ...)
Array allocations: kmalloc_array(COUNT, sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with: kmalloc_objs(TYPE, COUNT, ...)
Flex array allocations: kmalloc(struct_size(PTR, FAM, COUNT), ...)
are replaced with: kmalloc_flex(*PTR, FAM, COUNT, ...)
(where TYPE may also be *VAR)
The resulting allocations no longer return "void *", instead returning
"TYPE *".

Replace dev_warn() with dev_dbg() to reduce unnecessary warning messages.
When the low power mode priority register contains invalid data, the Intel
PMC Core driver can still utilize the default priority list. This scenario
is more suited for debug information rather than warning.

Add support to read and show S0ix blocker substate requirements.
Starting from Panther Lake, substate requirement data is provided
based on S0ix blockers instead of all low power mode requirements.
For platforms that support this new feature, add support to display
substate requirements based on S0ix blockers.
Change the "substate_requirements" attribute of Intel PMC Core
driver to show the substate requirements for each S0ix blocker
and the corresponding S0ix blocker value.

Mode substate requirement data for platforms starting from Panther
Lake. Increased the size for the name column as the Low Power Mode
requirement register name is longer in newer platforms.

Replace devm_kzalloc() with devm_kcalloc() in pmc_core_get_tgl_lpm_reqs().
As noted in the kernel documentation [1], open-coded multiplication in
allocator arguments is discouraged because it can lead to integer
overflow.
Using devm_kcalloc() provides built-in overflow protection, making the
memory allocation safer when calculating the allocation size compared
to explicit multiplication.
