Introduce a rzt2h_pin_read_pfc() helper and replace the open-coded
implementation inside rzt2h_gpio_get_direction() to simplify the code.
While at it, use field_get() with PFC_PIN_MASK to avoid the manual shift

rzt2h_gpio_get() only reports a level for pins in input or output mode
and returns -EINVAL otherwise. When a pin is requested as an interrupt
it is switched to IRQ function and its I/O mode is set to Hi-Z, so its
value can no longer be read.
gpiolib calls gpiod_get_value_cansleep() to determine the edge's
direction when a line is watched with GPIO_V2_LINE_FLAG_EDGE_BOTH.
Non-zero values are translated to a rising edge, zero to a falling edge.
Since gpiod_get_value_cansleep() ends up calling rzt2h_gpio_get() which
returns -EINVAL when the pin is in IRQ function, every edge is reported
as rising.
When using the IRQ function, the input buffers are enabled and the PINm
registers reflect the live state of the input.
Report the input level even when the pin is used as an IRQ.

When exporting a GPIO using the deprecated sysfs GPIO API,
gpio_is_visible() calls gpiod_to_irq() to determine whether a GPIO is
IRQ-capable, which ends up using
struct gpio_irq_chip::child_to_parent_hwirq().
When using the GPIO character device, it is possible to request a line
and to dynamically switch between using it as an IRQ or as a GPIO, by
updating the edge detector.
The current struct gpio_irq_chip::child_to_parent_hwirq() implementation
makes the assumption that it will only be called with the intention of
setting up the IRQ permanently, and that it will only be released when
the IRQ domain is freed.
Since we now know that this is not the case, take the following steps in
order to properly handle that case.
Implement struct irq_chip::irq_{request,release}_resources() based on
the default GPIOCHIP_IRQ_RESOURCE_HELPERS implementations.
Move the IRQ setup and release logic inside them.
Keep the mapping logic inside ::child_to_parent_hwirq() to be able to
provide a proper HW IRQ number, but do not actually setup the IRQ.
Remove rzt2h_gpio_irq_domain_free() as its only purpose was to free the
acquired IRQs. irq_domain_free_irqs_common() will still be set up as
struct gpio_irq_chip::child_irq_domain_ops::free by
gpiochip_hierarchy_setup_domain_ops().

rzt2h_gpio_irq_domain_free() calls rzt2h_pinctrl_set_gpio_en() with
false leaving the pin in interrupt function instead of returning it to
GPIO mode.
Pass true to rzt2h_pinctrl_set_gpio_en() to take the pin out of
interrupt function after we're done using it as an IRQ.
rzt2h_pinctrl_set_pfc_mode() switches the pin to Hi-Z, losing the
previous PM value.
Save the PM value before switching to Hi-Z, and restore it after the
IRQ is freed.

The previous code handled power sources using a mixture of power
source specific definitions and lookups in the available_ps[] array.
Unify the power source handling by introducing struct
rzg2l_pinctrl_ps_desc, whose purpose is to describe a power source
through its power source value, associated register value, associated
capabilities (e.g. Ethernet), and associated IOLH index.
Introduce two new functions, rzg2l_ps_to_desc() and
rzg2l_pwr_reg_val_to_desc(), using the
RZG2L_PINCTRL_PS_DESC_MEMBER_TO_DESC_FUNC() macro, as their
implementations are similar.
These functions retrieve a power source descriptor based on either a
power source value or a power source register value. Other functions
that need to perform power source specific operations can call them to
retrieve the corresponding power source descriptor.
The register values for the soft power sources were kept to zero since
they are not used across the driver's code.

The current functions used to get/set the pin power source check the
OTHER_POC register, which is specific to the RZ/G3L SoC only. To allow
the code to be extended for other power source functionalities (e.g. I3C
on RZ/G3S), generalize the functions used to get/set the pin power
source.
For this, introduce the struct rzg2l_register_masks data structure whose
purpose is to store SoC specific register bit masks. The members of
this structure are then used in rzg2l_caps_to_pwr_reg() to retrieve the
bitmask corresponding to a SoC specific power source capability.
The conversion between HW specific power source values and SW specific
power source values is now handled through rzg2l_pwr_reg_val_to_ps() and
rzg2l_ps_to_pwr_reg_val().
Finally, to keep the code generic, the register update in
rzg2l_set_power_source() was changed to a read-modify-write approach to
cover all cases.

This patch extends the sh-pfc GPIO driver to support software-node-based
configuration for the secondary 'function' GPIO chip.
While the primary GPIO chip typically uses the firmware node attached to
the parent platform device, the secondary chip should target a specific
child node to avoid ambiguity when defining GPIO hogs or properties.
Update gpio_function_setup() to look for a child node named 'functions',
but only when the parent is a software node. This ensures the behavior
is restricted to legacy platforms being migrated to software nodes.

The sh-pfc driver registers two separate gpiochip instances: one for
real GPIOs and another for function GPIOs. Since both share the same
parent platform device, gpiolib's fallback logic causes both chips to
share the same firmware node (fwnode).
This causes ambiguity when using software nodes to describe GPIOs, as
gpiolib may apply hogs meant for one chip to the other if they share the
same node.
Explicitly set gc->fwnode to ERR_PTR(-ENODEV) for the function GPIO
chip. This satisfies gpiolib's check for an existing fwnode and prevents
it from falling back to the parent device's node, while ensuring that no
actual properties or hogs are found on the function chip unless
explicitly assigned later.

The pinctrl and GPIO core code make exceptions for the -ENOTSUPP error
code. One such example is gpio_set_config_with_argument_optional(), which
returns success when gpio_set_config_with_argument() returns -ENOTSUPP, but
reports failure for all other error codes.
Returning -EOPNOTSUPP from the pinctrl driver on the unsupported pinctrl
operation may lead to boot failures when pinctrl drivers implements
struct gpio_chip::set_config, the system uses GPIO hogs, and the
struct gpio_chip::set_config implementation returns -EOPNOTSUPP for the
unsupported operations.
Currently, the driver does not implement struct gpio_chip::set_config().
To avoid future failures, return -ENOTSUPP from
rzv2m_pinctrl_pinconf_set().
rzv2m_pinctrl_pinconf_group_get() is used when dumping pinctrl
configuration. pinconf_generic_dump_one(), which calls it, makes
exceptions for the -EINVAL and -ENOTSUPP error codes. The documentation
for struct pinconf_ops::pin_config_group_get states that it "should
return -ENOTSUPP and -EINVAL using the same rules as pin_config_get()".
The documentation for struct pinconf_ops::pin_config_get states:
"get the config of a certain pin, if the requested config is not available
on this controller this should return -ENOTSUPP and if it is available but
disabled it should return -EINVAL".
Return -ENOTSUPP for the unsupported pinctrl operation.

RSPI ch{1,2} and RSCI ch{1,2,3} need to control the clone channel for
proper operation. As per the RZ/G3L hardware manual, the clone channel
setting is to be done before the mux setting.

The RZ/G2L SoC uses pin 0 from a port for OEN while RZ/G3L uses pin 1. The
existing greater-than comparison against oen_max_pin in
rzg2l_pin_to_oen_bit() would incorrectly accept any pin below that value
rather than enforcing the single valid OEN pin for each SoC. Replace the
range check with an exact equality test so that only the designated OEN
pin is accepted.

{WDT,AWO,ISO}
The RZ/G3L SoC has support for setting power source that are not
controlled by the following voltage control registers:
- SD_CH{0,1,2}_POC, XSPI_POC, ETH{0,1}_POC, I3C_SET.POC
Add support for selecting voltages using OTHER_POC register for
setting I/O domain voltage for WDT, ISO and AWO by extending
rzg2l_caps_to_pwr_reg() with a mask output parameter so that callers
callers can identify which bit(s) within OTHER_POC correspond to the
requested domain. Update rzg2l_get_power_source() to extract the
relevant bit field via field_get() when reading OTHER_POC, and update
rzg2l_set_power_source() to perform a read-modify-write under the
spinlock when writing to OTHER_POC, since multiple domains share the
same register.

The QSPI register at offset 0x3008 is not present on all SoCs supported by
the RZ/G2L pinctrl driver. Unconditionally reading and writing this
register during suspend/resume on hardware that lacks it can cause
undefined behaviour.
Add a qspi field to rzg2l_register_offsets to allow per-SoC declaration of
the QSPI register offset, and guard the suspend/resume accesses with a
check on that field. Populate the offset only for the RZ/{G2L,G2LC,G2UL,

exist.

Store SMT register cache per bank instead of using a single array.
On RZ/V2H(P), RZ/V2N, and RZ/G3E, the SMT register is split across two
32-bit registers: bits 0/8/16/24 control pins 0-3, while pins 4-7 are
controlled by the corresponding bits in the next register. The previous
implementation cached only a single SMT register, leading to incomplete
save/restore of SMT state.
Convert cache->smt to a per-bank array and allocate storage for both
halves. Update suspend/resume handling to save and restore both SMT
registers when present.

during suspend/resume
When saving/restoring pull-up/down register state during suspend/resume,
the second PUPD register access was incorrectly using the same base offset
as the first, effectively reading/writing the same register twice instead
of the adjacent one.
Add the correct + 4 byte offset to the second RZG2L_PCTRL_REG_ACCESS32

32-bit register in the PUPD register pair, covering pins 4–7 of ports

Add pin configuration support for the Renesas RZ/T2H SoC. The RZ/T2H SoC
allows configuring several electrical characteristics through the DRCTLm
(I/O Buffer Function Switching) registers. These registers control bias
configuration, Schmitt trigger input, output slew rate, and drive
strength.
Implement pinconf_ops to allow reading and updating these properties
through the generic pin configuration framework. The implementation
supports bias-disable, bias-pull-up, bias-pull-down,
input-schmitt-enable, slew-rate, and drive-strength-microamp.

The rzt2h_gpio_get_direction() function is called from
gpiod_get_direction(), which ends up being used within the __setup_irq()
call stack when requesting an interrupt.
__setup_irq() holds a raw_spinlock_t with IRQs disabled, which creates
an atomic context. spinlock_t cannot be used within atomic context
when PREEMPT_RT is enabled, since it may become a sleeping lock.
An "[ BUG: Invalid wait context ]" splat is observed when running with
CONFIG_PROVE_LOCKING enabled, describing exactly the aforementioned call
stack.
__setup_irq() needs to hold a raw_spinlock_t with IRQs disabled to
serialize access against a concurrent hard interrupt.
Switch to raw_spinlock_t to fix this.
