2025-11-24wifi: mt76: relicense to BSD-3-Clause-ClearFelix Fietkau
MediaTek has asked to switch from the ISC license to BSD-3-Clause-Clear, in order to improve clarity and the legal integrity of the code. The BSD-3-Clause license includes the "no endorsement" clause, which is important for protecting the reputation of the original authors and contributors by preventing unauthorized use of their names for endorsement purposes. This clause is absent in the BSD-2-Clause license, which is more permissive but lacks this specific protection. This change also cleans up the license of some Kconfig/Makefile files, which were accidentally marked as GPL. The GPL 2.0 remains in use on mt76x0, as well as two source files in mt7615 for which the license situation still needs to be clarified. 2025-11-24wifi: mt76: wed: use proper wed reference in mt76 wed driver callabacksLorenzo Bianconi
MT7996 driver can use both wed and wed_hif2 devices to offload traffic from/to the wireless NIC. In the current codebase we assume to always use the primary wed device in wed callbacks resulting in the following crash if the hw runs wed_hif2 (e.g. 6GHz link). 2025-09-15wifi: mt76: Add reset_idx to reset_q mt76_queue_ops signature.Lorenzo Bianconi
Remove __mt76_dma_queue_reset routine and use mt76_dma_queue_reset directly instead in mt76_queue_ops struct. This is a preliminary patch to enable WED support for MT7992 Kite chipset supported by MT7996 driver. 2025-07-07wifi: mt76: Get rid of dma_sync_single_for_device() for MMIO devicesLorenzo Bianconi
Since the page_pool for MT76 MMIO devices are created with PP_FLAG_DMA_SYNC_DEV flag, we do not need to sync_for_device each page received from the pool since it is already done by the page_pool codebase.
