sparx5_tc_matchall_replace() allocates a struct sparx5_mall_entry for
every offloaded matchall filter and adds it to sparx5->mall_entries.
sparx5_tc_matchall_destroy() removes the entry from the list, but never
frees it, so the entry of every deleted mirror and goto matchall filter
is leaked.
Free the entry after unlinking it.
The leak was discovered by an AI code review agent, and reproduced with
kmemleak on a lan969x EV board (EV23X71A) by repeatedly adding and
deleting matchall mirror and goto filters. With the fix, kmemleak no
longer reports the leak.

Add XDP support for the PCIe FDMA path. The implementation operates on
contiguous ATU-mapped buffers with memcpy-based XDP_TX, unlike the
platform path which uses page_pool.
XDP sees the frame with IFH and FCS stripped. These are removed in
lan966x_fdma_pci_rx_check_frame() before the BPF program runs, because
after the program returns the driver cannot tell whether the tail
region was modified. The skb_pull/skb_trim previously done in
lan966x_fdma_pci_rx_get_frame() are removed for the same reason; the
frame pointer and length are pre-computed by rx_check_frame() and
passed through rx_get_frame() and lan966x_xdp_pci_run() to the caller.
lan966x_fdma_pci_xmit_xdpf() handles XDP_TX: it rebuilds a fresh IFH
in the TX slot, copies the post-XDP frame after it, and lets HW insert
a new FCS.
lan966x_xdp_setup() is extended so the PCIe path skips the page_pool
reload that the platform path needs.
Only XDP_ACT_BASIC is supported.

Add MTU change support for the PCIe FDMA path: on an MTU change, the
contiguous ATU-mapped RX and TX buffers are reallocated at the new
size, falling back to the existing buffers on failure.
Cap the PCIe DCB ring at 256 (FDMA_PCI_DCB_MAX): 512 DCBs would
overflow MAX_PAGE_ORDER at jumbo MTU.
The ring must fit one MAX_PAGE_ORDER block after ATU padding, and
db_size is handed to the FDMA in the 16-bit DCB DATAL field.
Advertise the resulting limit in dev->max_mtu (FDMA_PCI_MAX_MTU)
when the FDMA is in use - a switch with no "fdma" interrupt named
uses the unconstrained register-based path instead, so the cap is
gated on lan966x->fdma, not lan966x_is_pci() alone. On a 4KB-page,
MAX_PAGE_ORDER=10 build this is MTU 15498; the overhead is shared
with lan966x_fdma_get_max_frame() via FDMA_OVERHEAD.
Skip the resize until lan966x_fdma_pci_init() has built the rings;
it runs after the netdevs register and sizes them from
DEV_MAC_MAXLEN_CFG, already programmed by the caller.

Add PCIe FDMA support for lan966x. The PCIe FDMA path uses contiguous
DMA buffers mapped through the endpoint's ATU, with memcpy-based frame
transfer instead of per-page DMA mappings.
With PCIe FDMA, throughput increases from ~33 Mbps (register-based I/O)
to ~620 Mbps on an Intel x86 host with a lan966x PCIe card.
The RX path uses its own copy of lan966x_hw_offload() that reports back
when skb_vlan_untag() frees the skb, so the caller can drop the frame
instead of touching it.
XDP is not supported on this path yet, so do not advertise xdp_features
and reject program attach for PCIe instances.

As a PCIe endpoint, lan966x is not reset by a host reboot: its FDMA
channels and interrupt sources stay armed, and the OIC ORs every
source into the shared PCIe INTx, asserted before the driver has
re-probed. A still-active channel also keeps write access to host
memory the next kernel will reuse.
Add a shutdown callback that:
- frees the ana, xtr and FDMA irqs, masking and unmapping them at
the OIC (disable_irq() would leave both set - the OIC has no
irq_disable())
- masks the analyzer source, armed unconditionally by lan966x_init()
and re-armed by the MAC table's age timer
- stops and detaches the netdevs, draining in-flight xmit and
clearing netif_device_present() so ndo_open/ndo_change_mtu cannot
re-enter the FDMA against a disabled NAPI
- disables both FDMA channels and masks their interrupts
- unmaps the outbound ATU windows, leaving none armed (the windows
are mapped by the PCIe FDMA backend added later in this series)
NAPI is skipped when fdma_ndev is unset (a probed switch with no
usable port never adds one), and XDP attach cannot re-enter the FDMA
either: on PCIe, lan966x_xdp_setup() returns before the page pool
reload, which is the only point where it touches the FDMA.
Only the PCIe instantiation needs this - the SoC one resets with the
chip - so the callback returns early on a platform device; the check
is at runtime since .shutdown belongs to the driver, and a
PCIe-enabled kernel binds both.
FDMA_INTR_ENA persists across a warm reboot, so also restore the
full enable in lan966x_fdma_rx_start(), run after both rings are
allocated. The PCIe FDMA backend added later in this series starts
RX through the same function, so both backends are re-armed from
one site.

When in PCI mode, the GCB soft reset issued by the reset controller
can latch spurious bits in the FDMA error stickies. The latched bits
sit in FDMA_INTR_ERR until the FDMA IRQ is requested later in probe,
at which point the handler fires immediately and WARNs.
Clear FDMA_ERRORS, FDMA_INTR_ERR and FDMA_INTR_DB right after the
switch reset so the FDMA comes out clean and the IRQ handler does not
see ghost errors on probe.
The clear runs on both the PCI and platform paths. On the platform
path it has no effect — there are no spurious stickies to clear — but
keeping it unconditional avoids a PCI-specific code path here.

In preparation for the PCIe FDMA implementation, add lan966x->dma_dev,
resolved once at probe time, and use it for every DMA operation the
FDMA path performs: coherent allocations, streaming mappings and the RX
page pool. Natively, dma_dev is lan966x->dev, so there is no functional
change.
Since dma_dev differs from dev only on the PCIe path, add
lan966x_is_pci() on top of it, for the later PCIe patches to key off.

The FDMA Link List Pointer (LLP) register points to the first DCB in the
chain and must be written before the channel is activated. This tells
the FDMA engine where to begin DMA transfers.
Move the LLP register writes from the channel start/activate functions
into the allocation functions and introduce a shared
lan966x_fdma_llp_configure() helper. This is needed because the upcoming
PCIe FDMA path writes ATU-translated addresses to the LLP registers
instead of DMA addresses. Keeping the writes in the shared
start/activate path would overwrite these translated addresses.

The FDMA engine reads and writes the DCB and DB descriptors in
little-endian byte order. So far the descriptors have only been produced
by the little-endian SoC itself, so plain u64 fields were fine. With the
PCIe FDMA path, the descriptors live in host memory and are written by
the host CPU, which may be big-endian.
Change the descriptor fields to __le64 and convert at the library
boundary: in __fdma_db_add() and __fdma_dcb_add() on write, and in the
fdma_db_*() accessors on read. The dataptr and nextptr callbacks keep
their u64 signatures, so their implementations are unchanged. Add
fdma_db_dataptr_get(), and convert the lan966x sites that read the
descriptor fields directly to use the accessors.
No functional change on little-endian hosts.

When lan966x or lan969x operates as a PCIe endpoint, the internal FDMA
engine cannot directly access host memory. Instead, DMA addresses must
be translated through the PCIe Address Translation Unit (ATU). The ATU
provides outbound windows that map internal addresses to PCIe bus
addresses.
The ATU outbound address space (0x10000000-0x1fffffff) is divided into
six equally-sized regions (~42MB each). When FDMA buffers are allocated,
a free ATU region is claimed and programmed with the DMA target address.
The FDMA engine then uses the region's base address in its descriptors,
and the ATU translates these to the actual DMA addresses on the PCIe bus.
Add the required functions and helpers that combine the DMA allocation
with the ATU region mapping. These are used by the lan966x PCIe FDMA
path.
The ATU cannot express a limit finer than its 64KB region granularity,
so pad the mapped allocation to that boundary; otherwise the outbound
window would extend past the memory the host allocated for DMA.
This implementation will also be used by the lan969x, when PCIe FDMA is
added for that platform in the future.

When the FDMA library was introduced [1], two helpers to get the DMA and
virtual address of a data buffer, in contiguous memory, were added. These
helpers have had no callers until this series. I found the naming I
initially used confusing and inconsistent.
Rename fdma_dataptr_get_contiguous() and
fdma_dataptr_virt_get_contiguous() to fdma_dataptr_dma_addr_contiguous()
and fdma_dataptr_virt_addr_contiguous(). This makes the pair symmetric
and clarifies what type of address each returns.

With a random MAC reported as NET_ADDR_PERM, systemd's

The only call outside the KUnit tests is in
sparx5_tc_add_rule_copy(), which passes a fixed key list with no
duplicate entries. Therefore, the potential double-free is not
currently reachable in tree.
However, vcap_filter_rule_keys() is exported and does not require its
key list entries to be unique. If a future or external caller supplies
the same key at another position that the inner loop visits, it calls
list_del() and kfree() a second time on the freed field, leading to a
potential double-free.
Break the inner loop after removing a matching field. The outer safe
list traversal continues to process the remaining rule fields.

lan743x_rx_process_buffer() adds each non-first receive buffer to the
head skb's frag_list. On the last descriptor, lan743x_rx_trim_skb()
linearizes the head and frees the fragment skb metadata.
The checksum-success path then writes ip_summed through the local skb
pointer, which still points to the final fragment. This causes a
use-after-free write when a packet spans more than one receive buffer.
Set ip_summed on the surviving head skb instead. Multi-buffer receive
can occur after a live MTU increase because existing ring entries keep
their old buffer size until they are replenished.
A KUnit test invoking lan743x_rx_process_buffer() with a two-buffer
packet produced a one-byte KASAN use-after-free write before this change.
The same test passed after the change. The driver object also builds
with W=1. This was not tested on physical LAN743x hardware.

debugfs: '(unnamed net_device)' already exists in 'vcaps'
debugfs: '(unnamed net_device)' already exists in 'vcaps'
...
Add vcap_port_debugfs_portno(), a variant of vcap_port_debugfs() that
takes the port's stable hardware port number and uses "p%u" as the
debugfs file name instead of netdev_name(ndev). This makes the file
name independent of registration order; the file still stores and
later dereferences the netdev itself, same as before. sparx5 already
reports the same "p%d" string via ndo_get_phys_port_name(), so the
debugfs name now matches that.
Only sparx5 (and lan969x, which shares this code) is switched to the
new function. lan966x keeps calling vcap_port_debugfs() unchanged, so
this fix does not rename any of its existing debugfs files.

Enable RMII interface in the lan743x driver for PHY and MAC

- Select RMII interface in lan743x_phy_interface_select().
- Update phylink supported_interfaces and MAC capabilities.
- Enable RMII via RMII_CTL in lan743x_hardware_init().
- Define RMII_CTL register and enable bit in lan743x_main.h.

Some MAC-PHY devices need custom MDIO bus access functions to work
around hardware issues. Add the OA_TC6_BROKEN_PHY quirk flag so drivers
can opt in to skip oa_tc6's internal PHY init and manage the PHY
themselves. When the flag is set, oa_tc6 skips MDIO bus registration,
PHY discovery and PHY connection, leaving these to the driver.
Drivers that do not set the flag retain the existing behavior. Update

On the TSN and RED variants of LAN969x and SparX-5i TAS (Time-Aware Shaper)
is present in the silicon.
Currently, the driver does not use configure it at all, which means that
the TAS_PROFILE_CONFIG.LINK_SPEED[1] value is left at the default of 3
which means that its configured for 1 Gbps.
So, running iperf between two 10G switch ports will result in only 940-ish
Mbps while we should be getting around 9.3 Gbps.
Correctly populating the TAS_PROFILE_CONFIG.LINK_SPEED[1] with the current
port speed fixes this issue and we achieve around 9.4 Gbps between two 10G
switch ports.
So, port the TAS port link speed setting from the vendor BSP 6.18 kernel[2]

The VCAP instances on a chip are not independent, yet they are locked
independently. On sparx5 and lan969x the IS0 and IS2 instances are
backed by the same Super VCAP hardware block and share its cache and
command registers: every access drives the shared VCAP_SUPER_CTRL
register and moves data through the shared cache registers.
Accessing one instance therefore races with accessing another. The
per-instance admin->lock cannot prevent this, as each instance takes a
different lock.
The locking issue is mostly disguised by the fact that the core usage of
the vcap api runs under rtnl. However, the full rule dump in debugfs
decodes rules straight from hardware (a READ command followed by a cache
read) and runs outside rtnl, so it races a concurrent tc-flower rule
write to another Super VCAP instance.
Besides corrupting the dump, the read repopulates the shared cache
between the writers cache fill and its write command, so the writer
commits the wrong data and corrupts the hardware entry.
Introduce vcap_lock() and vcap_unlock() helpers and route every rule
lock site in the VCAP API and its debugfs code through them. Replace the
per-instance admin->lock with a single mutex in struct vcap_control that
serializes access to all instances. The helpers reach it through a new
admin->vctrl back-pointer, and the clients initialise and destroy the
control lock instead of a per-instance one.
No path holds more than one instance lock, so collapsing them onto a
single mutex cannot self-deadlock.

lan743x_hardware_init() calls pci11x1x_strap_get_status() during the
PCI11x1x probe sequence. That helper acquires the Ethernet subsystem
hardware lock via lan743x_hs_syslock_acquire(), which relies on
adapter->eth_syslock_spinlock to serialize access.
The spinlock is currently initialized only after the strap status is
read. With CONFIG_DEBUG_SPINLOCK enabled, taking the zeroed initialized
spinlock can trip the spinlock debug check.
Fix by initializing adapter->eth_syslock_spinlock before reading the
strap status so the probe path never attempts to lock an uninitialized
spinlock.

lan966x_fdma_reload() backs up rx->page_pool and rx->fdma before
reallocating the RX resources for the new MTU. If the allocation fails,
the restore path puts these fields back before restarting RX.
However, the reload path also updates rx->page_order and rx->max_mtu
before calling lan966x_fdma_rx_alloc(). These fields are not restored on
failure, so RX can be restarted with the old pages, old FDMA state and
old page pool, but with the page geometry from the failed new MTU.
This can make the XDP path advertise a frame size derived from the new
page_order while the actual RX pages still come from the old allocation.
For example, after a failed reload to a jumbo MTU, xdp_init_buff() may be
called with a frame size larger than the restored RX pages.
lan966x_fdma_rx_alloc_page_pool() also registers the newly allocated page
pool with each port's XDP RXQ before fdma_alloc_coherent() is called. If
fdma_alloc_coherent() fails, the new page pool is destroyed, but the
rollback path does not restore the per-port XDP RXQ mem model
registration either.
Save and restore rx->page_order and rx->max_mtu, and restore the old page
pool registration for each port's XDP RXQ before RX is started again.
This keeps the restored RX state consistent after a failed reload.

sparx5_tc_flower_psfp_setup() allocates PSFP stream gate, flow meter and
stream filter resources before adding VCAP actions. If a later step
fails, the resources allocated earlier in the function are not unwound.
Add error paths to release the stream filter, flow meter and stream gate
when setup fails after they have been acquired.
Also make sparx5_psfp_fm_add() return the acquired flow-meter id before
the existing-flow-meter early return. When an existing flow meter is
reused, sparx5_psfp_fm_get() increments its pool reference count, but the
caller previously kept psfp_fmid as 0. If a later setup step failed, the
error path could try to delete flow-meter id 0 instead of the reused flow
meter, leaving the incremented reference behind.

VLAN-tagged interfaces on lan743x devices were previously unreachable via
SSH and failed to respond to large ping packets (e.g. "ping -s 1469" given
MTU=1500). In these scenarios, "ethtool -S" reports non-zero "RX Oversize
Frame Errors". According to Microchip AN2948, the MAC_RX FSE (VLAN field
size enforcement) bit determines whether frames with VLAN tags exceeding
the base MTU plus tag length are discarded.
The driver must set the MAC_RX.FSE bit before setting MAC_RX.RXEN to allow
VLAN-tagged frames up to the interface MTU, preventing them from being
treated as oversized. As a result, both the base and VLAN-tagged interfaces
can use the same MTU without receive errors.

This patch updates the lan743x driver to prevent the use of netdev-based
logging APIs (such as netdev_dbg) before the network device has been
successfully registered. Using netdev-based logging prior to registration
results in log messages referencing "(unnamed net_device) (uninitialized)",
which can be confusing and less informative.
The driver must use netif_msg_ APIs and device-based logging (e.g. dev_dbg)
until netdev registration is complete. This ensures log entries are
associated with the correct device context and improves log clarity. After
registration, netdev-based logging APIs can be used safely.

lan966x_probe_port() stores the newly allocated net_device in the
port before calling register_netdev(). If register_netdev() fails,
the probe error path calls lan966x_cleanup_ports(), which sees
port->dev and calls unregister_netdev() for a device that was never
registered.
Destroy the phylink instance created for this port and clear port->dev
before returning the registration error. The common cleanup path now skips
ports without port->dev before reaching the registered netdev cleanup, so
it only handles ports that reached the registered-netdev lifetime.
This also avoids treating an uninitialized FDMA netdev and the failed port
as a NULL == NULL match in the common cleanup path.

sparx5_port_init() only invokes sparx5_serdes_set() and the associated

On any port with a high-speed primary device (DEV5G/DEV10G/DEV25G)

the DEV2G5 shadow is never enabled, and the port stays pointed at its

When lan966x_fdma_reload() fails to allocate new RX buffers, the restore
path restarts DMA using old descriptors whose pages were already freed
via lan966x_fdma_rx_free_pages(). Since page_pool_put_full_page() can
release pages back to the buddy allocator, the hardware may DMA into
memory now owned by other kernel subsystems.
Additionally, on the restore path, the newly created page pool (if
allocation partially succeeded) is overwritten without being destroyed,
leaking it.
Fix both issues by deferring the release of old pages until after the
new allocation succeeds. Save the old page array before the allocation
so old pages can be freed on the success path. On the failure path, the
old descriptors, pages and page pool are all still valid, making the
restore safe. Also ensure the restore path re-enables NAPI and wakes
the netdev, matching the success path.

A warm reset on boards using an EEPROM-only strap configuration (where
no MAC address is set in the image) can cause the driver to incorrectly
revert to RGMII mode. This occurs because the ENET_CONFIG_LOAD_STARTED

Update pci11x1x_strap_get_status() to use revision-specific validation:
- For PCI11x1x A0: Continue using the legacy check (config load started
or reset protection) to validate the SGMII strap.
- For PCI11x1x B0 and later: Use the newly available
STRAP_READ_USE_SGMII_EN_ bit in the upper strap register to validate
the lower SGMII_EN bit.
