mpl115_probe() enables runtime PM when a shutdown GPIO is present and
then returns the result of devm_iio_device_register(). If registration
fails, runtime PM remains enabled and autosuspend remains selected.
The same unmanaged runtime PM state is also left behind on driver
unbind, as the IIO device registration is managed but the runtime PM
setup is not.
Use devm_pm_runtime_enable() so runtime PM is disabled automatically on
probe failure and driver unbind, and check pm_runtime_set_active() so
setup errors are reported.
Set the autosuspend parameters before enabling runtime PM. Once probe
has completed, the driver core queues an idle request for the device, so
an explicit pm_runtime_get_noresume()/pm_runtime_put() pair is not
needed to start autosuspend.

When the device is enumerated through its ACPI HID (IFX3100),
i2c_client_get_device_id() returns NULL: the ACPI-derived client name
does not match the driver's i2c_device_id table. dps310_probe() then
dereferences that NULL pointer in "iio->name = id->name" and crashes the
kernel during probe.
The IIO device name is always "dps310", so set it directly and drop the
now-unused device-id lookup.

bm1390_trigger_handler() returns from three error paths without calling
iio_trigger_notify_done(). The success path at the end does, so on a
transient regmap or read failure the trigger's use_count is never
decremented and iio_trigger_poll_chained() drops subsequent dispatches
until the trigger is reattached.
This is not a fix for a reported bug, only hardening against hardware
or bus glitches; if a glitch is persistent the device is wedged and
needs an unbind anyway, which is left to the user.
Split the function so the inner helper returns bool with the data-read
outcome, and the outer IRQ handler calls iio_trigger_notify_done()
once and reports the result via IRQ_RETVAL().

device exposure
The driver currently exposes the IIO device to userspace before
completing sensor hub callback registration, and similarly removes
callbacks while the device can still be accessed during teardown.
This creates a timing window where userspace may enable the buffer
before callbacks are available. In such cases:
- samples can be dropped,
- buffered reads may observe stale or no data.
Reorder probe and remove paths to ensure callbacks are active before
device exposure and are removed after device is no longer accessible.
This avoids a race window leading to data loss.

mpl115_read_raw() takes a runtime PM reference with pm_runtime_get_sync()
before reading the processed pressure or raw temperature, but on the read
error path it returns without calling pm_runtime_put_autosuspend(). Each
failed read therefore leaks a runtime PM reference and prevents the device
from autosuspending.
Drop the reference before checking the return value so both the success

bmp580_trigger_handler() builds an on-stack scan buffer containing
two __le32 fields and an aligned_s64 timestamp, and pushes it to
userspace via iio_push_to_buffers_with_ts(). However, only the low
3 bytes of each __le32 field are populated by the device data:
memcpy(&buffer.comp_press, &data->buf[3], 3);
memcpy(&buffer.comp_temp, &data->buf[0], 3);
The high byte of each field is left uninitialised on the stack.
The bmp580 channels declare storagebits = 32, so the IIO core
transports all four bytes per sample to userspace as part of the
scan element, leaking two bytes of kernel stack per scan.
Zero-initialise the buffer before populating it, mirroring the fix
applied to bme280_trigger_handler() in commit 018f50909e66 ("iio:
bmp280: zero-init buffer").

bmp580_trigger_handler() declares its scan buffer on the stack without
an initializer and then memcpy()s 3 bytes of 24-bit sensor data into
each 4-byte __le32 field. The high byte of comp_temp and comp_press is
left uninitialized, and the channel storagebits is 32, so two bytes of
stack are pushed to userspace per scan.
This is a regression from when the buffer lived in the private data, the
move to a stack-local struct dropped the implicit zeroing.
bme280_trigger_handler() was fixed up to handle this bug, but this
driver was not fixed because there was no padding hole, but rather a
short-fill issue.
Fix this all by just zero-initializing the structure on the stack.

Passing IRQF_ONESHOT ensures that the interrupt source is masked until
the secondary (threaded) handler is done. If only a primary handler is
used then the flag makes no sense because the interrupt can not fire
(again) while its handler is running.
The flag also disallows force-threading of the primary handler and the
irq-core will warn about this.
The intention here was probably not allowing forced-threading for
handlers such as iio_trigger_generic_data_rdy_poll() will intends to
invoke hard-interrupt handlers.

Implement a measurement sequence that does not involve a one byte read of
the status byte before reading the conversion.
The sensor's conversions should be read either once the EoC interrupt
has triggered or 5ms after the 0xaa command. See Options 1 and 2
respectively in Tables 16 (page 15) and 18 (page 18) of the datasheet.
Note that Honeywell's example code also covered in the datasheet follows
Option 2 for both i2c and SPI.
The datasheet does not specify any of the retry parameters that are
currently implemented in the driver. A simple 5+ms sleep as specified in
Option 2 is enough for a valid measurement sequence.
The change also gets rid of the code duplication tied to the verification
of the status byte.
This change only affects users that do not define the EoC interrupt in
the device tree.

Move memset() from the bus specific code into core.
Zeroing out the buffer is performed because the sensor has noticeable
latch-up sensitivity and in some cases it clamps the MISO signal to GND
in sync with SCLK [1]. A raw conversion of zero is out of bounds since
valid values have to be between output_min and output_max (and the
smallest output_min is 2.5% of 2^24 = 419430).
The user is expected to discard out of bounds pressure values.
Given the fact that we can't follow the behaviour of all SPI controllers
when faced to this clamping of an output signal, a raw conversion of zero
is used as an early warning in case the low level SPI API reacts
unexpectedly.

Use a tx_buf that is part of the priv struct for transferring data to
the sensor instead of relying on a devm_kzalloc()-ed array.
Remove the .init operation in the process.

A sign change is needed for proper calculation of the pressure.
This is a minor fix since it only affects users that might have custom
silicon from Honeywell that has honeywell,pmin-pascal != 0.
Also due to the fact that raw pressure values can not be lower
than output_min (400k-3.3M) there is no need to calculate a decimal for
the offset.

Based on the sensor datasheet in chapter 7.6 SPI timing, Table 20,
during the SPI transfer there is a minimum time interval requirement
between the CS being asserted and the first clock edge (tHDSS).
This minimum interval of 2.5us is being violated if two consecutive SPI
transfers are queued up.

Adds driver for digital Honeywell ABP2 series of board mount
pressure and temperature sensors.
This driver covers 113 different pressure ranges and units on
both i2c and SPI buses.
The communication protocol involves sending two simple commands
to the sensor and there is no register access or a memory map.
For this reason the regmap API was not used.
The i2c address is hardcoded and depends on the part number.
Optional end of conversion interrupt control is present on the
i2c variants of the chips.
The EOC can also be defined for the SPI variants if a non-ABP2
but compatible chip is to be driven.
Tested on two sensors (ABP2MRRT001PDSA3 and ABP2DANT001BA2A3).
