`SGEntry::dma_len()` returns `ResourceSize`, but the length of a DMA
segment is not the size of a resource. The C side stores it as an
`unsigned int` (`dma_length` in `struct scatterlist`), the helper
returns `unsigned int`, and a single segment is bounded by the
device's `max_segment_size`, which is an `unsigned int` as well. The
method only widens the value to `resource_size_t`.
Return `u32`, which is what the binding already produces, and drop the
`.into()` along with its `clippy::useless_conversion` allow.
Tyr widens the length to `u64`, which is now a real conversion on
every architecture, so drop its `useless_conversion` allow too.
nova-core converts it to `usize` through `FromSafeCast`, which already
covers `u32`, so it needs no change.

Currently the number of doorbells is set to 64 which is an architectural
maximum for the Mali GPU major v10 supported by Tyr. Since each doorbell
needs a 64 KiB page, the doorbell array alone would need 4 MiB of register
memory. Since the doorbell array starts at offset 0x80000, its exclusive
end would be 0x480000, but the rk3588 device that Tyr is compatible with
only provides a 2 MiB iomem region in total.
Reduce the number of doorbells so that they fit into the rk3588 iomem
region. This is consistent with Panthor’s doorbell id assignment.
Doorbell 0 is the global doorbell. Panthor assigns the remaining doorbells
to the active command stream group (CSG) slots. The number of slots is
capped at 16 (MAX_CSG_PRIO + 1). Therefore Panthor uses a maximum of 17
doorbells. The 17 doorbell pages span 0x110000 bytes. Since the doorbell
array starts at offset 0x80000 its exclusive end is 0x190000 and so fits
within the 2 MiB register region.

If a new field is added to the struct drm_panthor_gpu_info in the panthor
uapi, Tyr must initialize this field or it will cause a compile error.
To pre-emptively avoid compile errors, use ..pin_init::zeroed() to zero
out all new fields added to this struct. Tyr can subsequently change the
initialization as necessary. Also use it instead of manually zeroing out
existing fields at the end of the struct.

Add a firmware module to load, parse, and map the MCU firmware sections
into shared GEM memory at the required virtual addresses accessible by the
GPU.
Create a firmware instance during probe and store it inside the
TyrDrmRegistrationData to keep it alive after probe. Use the firmware
instance to boot the MCU.
Remove the dead-code annotations from the MMU, VM, slot manager, and
kernel BO code now that these paths are used by the firmware module.
Update Kconfig to add the RUST_FW_LOADER_ABSTRACTIONS dependency
required by this module.

Add a parser for the Mali CSF GPU firmware binary format. The firmware
consists of a header followed by entries describing how to load firmware
sections into the MCU's memory.
The parser extracts section metadata including virtual address ranges,
data byte offsets within the binary, and section flags controlling
permissions and cache modes. It validates the basic firmware structure
and alignment and ignores protected-mode sections for now.

Introduce a buffer object type (KernelBo) for internal driver allocations
that are managed by the kernel rather than userspace.
KernelBo wraps a GEM shmem object and automatically handles GPU virtual
address space mapping during creation and unmapping on drop. This provides
a safe and convenient way for the driver to both allocate and clean up
internal buffers for kernel-managed resources.

Add GPU virtual address space management using the DRM GPUVM framework.
Each virtual memory (VM) space is backed by ARM64 LPAE Stage 1 page tables
and can be mapped into hardware address space (AS) slots for GPU execution.
The implementation provides memory isolation and virtual address
allocation. VMs support mapping GEM buffer objects with configurable
protection flags (readonly, noexec, uncached) and handle both 4KB and 2MB
page sizes. A new_dummy_object() helper is provided to create a dummy GEM
object for use as a GPUVM root.
The vm module integrates with the MMU for address space activation and
provides map/unmap/remap operations with page table synchronization.

Add Memory Management Unit (MMU) support in Tyr. The MMU module wraps a
SlotManager instance to allocate MMU address-space slots for use by
virtual memory (VM) address spaces. The MMU's SlotManager uses an
AddressSpaceManager to handle the hardware-specific callbacks. For
example, the AddressSpaceManager activates and evicts VMs from slots by
writing commands to the MMU registers.
Add an implementation block for the MMU's MEMATTR register to provide
a method for translating the Memory Attribute Indirection Register (MAIR)
format from the pagetable configuration to a format understood by the MMU.
Create an mmu instance during probe, it will be used by subsequent patches
in this series.
Wrap the iomem stored in TyrDrmRegistrationData in an Arc. The iomem
is stored in the mmu through its AddressSpaceManager. In anticipation
of the iomem also being stored in the firmware object, set up shared
ownership of the iomem now.
Update Kconfig to add the new MMU and IOMMU dependencies required
by this MMU module.

Introduce a generic slot manager to dynamically allocate limited hardware
slots to software "seats". It can be used for both address space (AS) and
command stream group (CSG) slots.
The slot manager initially assigns seats to its free slots. It will
continue to reuse the same slot for a seat, as long as another seat does
not start to use the slot in the interim.
When contention arises because all of the slots are allocated, the slot
manager will lazily evict and reuse slots that have become idle (if any).
The seat state is protected using the LockedBy pattern with the same lock
that guards the SlotManager. This ensures the seat state stays consistent
across slot operations.
Hardware specific behaviour is controlled through the SlotManager's
specific manager type that implements the `SlotOperations` trait.

Add a RegistrationData GAT (Generic Associated Type) to drm::Driver.
The lifetime parameter is tied to the parent bus device binding scope.
Registration<'a, T> takes ownership of the data via Pin<KBox<_>>,
storing it with its real lifetime. The pointer is written to drm::Device
before drm_dev_register() to ensure it is already in place when ioctls
arrive.
Device<T, Registered>::registration_data_with() provides access with the
lifetime shortened from 'static via a pointer cast. Since
Registration::drop() calls drm_dev_unplug(), which performs an SRCU
barrier waiting for all drm_dev_enter() critical sections to complete,
the data is guaranteed to remain valid for the duration of any
RegistrationGuard.

Make Ioctl handlers receive a &Device<T, Registered> reference, proving
at the type level that the device is registered and its parent bus
device is bound.
This is achieved by calling registration_guard() on the Device<T, Ioctl>
obtained in ioctl dispatch context. If the device has been unplugged,
the ioctl returns -ENODEV without calling the handler.
To resolve the driver type parameter T for type inference, which the
compiler cannot propagate through method resolution and associated-type
projections alone, a dead-code closure and a helper function are used as
a type-inference anchor.

Restrict AlwaysRefCounted for gem::Object and gem::shmem::Object to the
Normal context, since only Normal objects should be independently
reference-counted.
To avoid cascading through IntoGEMObject (which had AlwaysRefCounted as
a supertrait), remove AlwaysRefCounted from IntoGEMObject's supertraits
and instead add it as an explicit bound on lookup_handle(), which is the
only BaseObject method that returns an ARef.
Since Object::new() and shmem::Object::new() return ARef<Self>, move
them to Normal-only impl blocks. Similarly, simplify ObjectConfig and
shmem's parent_resv_obj field to the Normal context.

Now that we have the ability to represent the context in which a DRM device
is in at compile-time, we can start carrying around this context with GEM
object types in order to allow a driver to safely create GEM objects before
a DRM device has registered with userspace.

One of the tricky things about DRM bindings in Rust is the fact that
initialization of a DRM device is a multi-step process. It's quite normal
for a device driver to start making use of its DRM device for tasks like
creating GEM objects before userspace registration happens. This is an
issue in rust though, since prior to userspace registration the device is
only partly initialized. This means there's a plethora of DRM device
operations we can't yet expose without opening up the door to UB if the DRM
device in question isn't yet registered.
Additionally, this isn't something we can reliably check at runtime. And
even if we could, performing an operation which requires the device be
registered when the device isn't actually registered is a programmer bug,
meaning there's no real way to gracefully handle such a mistake at runtime.
And even if that wasn't the case, it would be horrendously annoying and
noisy to have to check if a device is registered constantly throughout a
driver.
In order to solve this, we first take inspiration from
`kernel::device::DeviceContext` and introduce `kernel::drm::DeviceContext`.
This provides us with a ZST type that we can generalize over to represent
contexts where a device is known to have been registered with userspace at
some point in time (`Registered`), along with contexts where we can't make
such a guarantee (`Uninit`).
It's important to note we intentionally do not provide a `DeviceContext`
which represents an unregistered device. This is because there's no
reasonable way to guarantee that a device with long-living references to
itself will not be registered eventually with userspace. Instead, we
provide a new-type for this: `UnregisteredDevice` which can
provide a guarantee that the `Device` has never been registered with
userspace. To ensure this, we modify `Registration` so that creating a new
`Registration` requires passing ownership of an `UnregisteredDevice`.

Now that IoMem is lifetime-parameterized, use it directly in probe
rather than wrapping it in Devres and Arc. The I/O memory mapping is
only used during probe and not stored in driver data, so device-managed
revocation is unnecessary.
This removes the Devres access(dev) pattern from issue_soft_reset(),
GpuInfo::new(), and l2_power_on(), simplifying register access.

Higher-Ranked Lifetime Types for Rust device drivers
Replace drvdata() with registration data on the auxiliary bus. Private
data is now scoped to the registration object, removing the ordering
constraints and lifetime complications that came with drvdata().
Add Higher-Ranked Lifetime Types (HRT) so driver structs can borrow
device resources like pci::Bar and IoMem directly, tied to the device
binding scope. This removes the need for Devres indirection and
ARef<Device> in most driver code.
This is a stable tag for other trees to merge.

Add FEAT_RENDER bool constant to the Driver trait to control
render node support. When enabled, the driver exposes /dev/dri/renderDXX
render nodes to userspace. The flag defaults to false, drivers can opt
in by setting it to true in their Driver implementation.
This is then enabled in the Tyr driver, while it's left disabled for
Nova for the time being.

Add a lifetime parameter to IoMem<'a, SIZE> and ExclusiveIoMem<'a,
SIZE>, storing a &'a Device<Bound> reference to tie the mapping to the
device's lifetime.
This mirrors the pci::Bar<'a, SIZE> design and enables drivers to hold
I/O memory mappings directly in their HRT private data, tied to the
device lifetime.
IoRequest::iomap_* methods now return the mapping directly instead of
wrapping it in Devres. Callers that need device-managed revocation can
call the new into_devres() method.

Add a 'bound lifetime to the associated Data, changing type Data to type
Data<'bound>.
This allows the driver's bus device private data to capture the device /
driver bound lifetime; device resources can be stored directly by
reference rather than requiring Devres.
The probe() and unbind() callbacks thus gain a 'bound lifetime parameter
on the methods themselves; avoiding a global lifetime on the trait impl.
Existing drivers set type Data<'bound> = Self, preserving the current
behavior.

Add a type Data<'bound> associated type to all bus driver traits,
decoupling the driver's bus device private data type from the driver
struct itself.
In the context of adding a 'bound lifetime, making this an associated
type has the advantage that it allows us to avoid a driver trait global
lifetime and it avoids the need for ForLt for bus device private data;
both of which make the subsequent implementation by buses much simpler.
All existing drivers and doc examples set type Data = Self to preserve

Switching to the shmem GEM object type matches how Tyr allocates and

Currently Tyr disables its clocks from TyrDrmDeviceData::drop(), which
causes them to be shut down before any other fields in TyrDrmDeviceData
are dropped. This prevents us from using the clocks when dropping the
other fields in TyrDrmDeviceData.
In order to better control when the clocks are dropped, move this cleanup
logic into a Drop implementation on the Clocks struct itself.
Since it serves no further purpose, remove the PinnedDrop implementation
for TyrDrmDeviceData.
Also, while here, remove the #[pin_data] annotation from both the struct
Clocks and struct Regulators since neither of these structs need this
macro to create structurally pinned fields.

Define the MMU_CONTROL register block with the kernel's register! macro
and replace the existing hand-written MMU register definitions with typed
register and field accessors.
This adds typed definitions for the MMU IRQ registers and the per-address
space MMU_AS_CONTROL registers, including TRANSTAB, MEMATTR, LOCKADDR,
COMMAND, FAULTSTATUS, STATUS, and TRANSCFG. It also introduces typed
enums for MMU commands, fault types, access types, address space modes,
memory attributes, and related MMU configuration fields.
For logical 64-bit MMU registers that are exposed as split 32-bit MMIO
registers, define both the typed 64-bit view and explicit low/high 32-bit
registers so the register layout remains documented without relying on
native 64-bit MMIO accesses.
This reduces open-coded bit manipulation, keeps MMU register layout

Now that clk implements Send and Sync, we no longer need to manually
implement these traits for TyrData. Thus remove the implementations.
The comment also mentions the regulator. However, the regulator had the
traits added in commit 9a200cbdb543 ("rust: regulator: implement Send
and Sync for Regulator<T>"), which is already in mainline.

Currently Tyr defines a convenience type alias for its DRM device type,
`TyrDrmDevice` but it does not use the alias outside of `tyr/driver.rs`.
Replace `drm::Device<TyrDrmDriver>` with the alias `TyrDrmDevice` across
the driver.
This change will ease future upstream Tyr development by reducing the
diffs when multiple series are touching these files.
No functional changes are intended.

Currently the `TyrDriver` struct implements both `platform::Driver` and
`drm::Driver`. For clarity, split up these two roles:
- Introduce `TyrPlatformDriverData` to implement `platform::Driver`, and
- Introduce `TyrDrmDriver` to implement `drm::Driver`.
Also rename other variables to reflect their roles in the DRM context:
- Rename `TyrDevice` to `TyrDrmDevice`
- Rename `TyrData` to `TyrDrmDeviceData`
- Rename `File` to `TyrDrmFileData`
- Rename `DrmFile` to `TyrDrmFile`
No functional changes are intended.

Currently Tyr uses rustfmt style for imports, but the kernel uses a
vertical layout that makes it easier to resolve conflicts and rebase.
Import guidelines are documented here:
https://docs.kernel.org/rust/coding-guidelines.html#imports
Change all of Tyr's imports to use the vertical layout. This will
ease the introduction of additional Tyr patches upstream.
There should be no functional changes in this patch.

GpuInfo::log() was decoding GPU_ID like this:
major = (self.gpu_id >> 16) & 0xff;
minor = (self.gpu_id >> 8) & 0xff;
status = self.gpu_id & 0xff;
That does not match the Mali GPU_ID layout and mixes unrelated
fields. Due to that, model detection becomes `mali-unknown` on
rk3588s which is wrong.
We can already get all the version information with a single
GpuId::from call (less code and cleaner), so this patch uses it.
Also renamed `GpuModels` fields from `major/minor` to
`arch_major/prod_major` to reflect their real meaning.
This change was tested on Orange Pi 5 (rk3588s) board and the
results are as follows:
Before this change:
