The MAX9296A deserializer converts single or dual serial inputs to MIPI
CSI-2 outputs. The GMSL2 links operate at a fixed rate of 3Gbps or 6Gbps
in the forward direction and 187.5Mbps in the reverse direction.
In GMSL1 mode, each serial link can be paired with 3.12Gbps or 1.5Gbps
GMSL1 serializers or operate up to 4.5Gbps with GMSL2 serializers with
GMSL1 backward compatibility. The MAX9296A supports mixed GMSL2 and
GMSL1 links. The serial inputs operate independently, allowing videos
with different timings and resolutions to be received on each input.
MAX96716A supports both tunnel and pixel mode.
MAX96792A supports both tunnel and pixel mode, and has two GMSL3 links.

capable of connecting to a separate serializer. If these serializers

MediaTek MT8189 SoC.
Unlike some previous SoCs, the MT8189 JPEG encoder requires 34-bit IOVA
address space support. Therefore, it is added as a standalone compatible
string without falling back to the generic "mediatek,mtk-jpgenc" to
ensure the driver applies the correct hardware-specific configurations.

Add the compatible string for the JPEG decoder block found in the
MediaTek MT8189 SoC.
Compared to previous generation ICs, the MT8189 JPEG decoder requires
34-bit IOVA address space support and only needs a single clock
("jpgdec") instead of two. Therefore, it is added as a standalone
compatible string without falling back to older SoCs.
Update the binding schema to include the new compatible string and add
an `allOf` block with conditional checks. This enforces the single clock
requirement for MT8189 while preserving the two-clock requirement
("jpgdec-smi", "jpgdec") for older SoCs.

Add the compatible for the Video Capture (VICAP) unit of the Rockchip

enters the VICAP through a dedicated gate in the clock and reset unit,

bus-type is optional under port@0 and port@1's endpoint for ite,it6625

supports both C-PHY and D-PHY and needs disambiguation). With bus-type
omitted, the actual runtime default is D-PHY:

Document the venus video accelerator used on shikra platforms by adding
the qcom,shikra-venus compatible.
Although QCM2290 and shikra share the same video hardware and overall
integration, their SMMU programming differs. QCM2290 exposes separate
stream IDs for the video hardware and the Xtensa path, requiring two
explicit IOMMU entries, whereas shikra uses a masked SMR to collapse
equivalent stream IDs into a single mapping. Due to QCM2290's SID layout
and Xtensa isolation requirements, such SMR masking is not applicable on
QCM2290 platforms.
Since shikra uses the same video hardware as QCM2290 and shares the same
programming model and capabilities, it is added as a fallback compatible
to qcom,qcm2290-venus, with conditional handling to allow either one or
two IOMMU entries.

Update the memory-region property to support two regions:
1. Firmware-loaded codec carveout (existing)
2. IOMMU IOVA reservation region (new)
The IOMMU IOVA reservation region is required to restrict usage of
specific IOVA memory range. For example, VPU restricts usage of 600MB
for specific streams, which could otherwise lead to device crash. This
change allows platforms to define separate memory regions for codec
carveout and IOVA restrictions.
This schema update supports existing DTS having single memory-region,
thereby allowing gradual migration of DTS to support two memory region.

The example in imx8mq-mipi-csi2.yaml uses imx8mm_mipi_csi_{in,out}
endpoint labels, which is confusing for an i.MX8MQ binding. The labels
could be removed as they are not functionally required in the example,
but they have a documentation purpose that brings value to the reader.
Rename them mipi_csi_{in,out} to avoid the confusion.

Document the VSP2 blocks present on the RZ/T2H and RZ/N2H SoCs.
The VSP2 implementation on these SoCs is identical to that on the
RZ/G2L SoC.
Update the schema to disallow the "resets" property for these SoCs to

Document the FCPVD blocks present on the RZ/T2H and RZ/N2H SoCs.
The FCPVD implementation on these SoCs is identical to that found on the

Shikra contains the same Camera Subsystem IP as QCM2290. Document the
platform-specific compatible string, using qcom,qcm2290-camss as
fallback.
Unlike QCM2290, Shikra omits the CDM and OPE blocks, requiring only a
single IOMMU context bank instead of four.
