2024-09-04ionic: Remove redundant null pointer checks in ionic_debugfs_add_qcq()Li Zetao
Since the debugfs_create_dir() never returns a null pointer, checking the return value for a null pointer is redundant, and using IS_ERR is safe enough. 2024-05-30ionic: Use netdev_name() function instead of netdev->nameBrett Creeley
There is no reason not to use netdev_name() in these places, so do just as the title states. Clean up complaints from an xmastree.py scan. Signed-off-by: Brett Creeley <brett.creeley@amd.com> Signed-off-by: Shannon Nelson <shannon.nelson@amd.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2023-12-13ionic: lif debugfs refresh on resetShannon Nelson
Remove and restore the lif's debugfs pointers on a reset, and make sure to check for the dentry before removing it in case an earlier reset failed to rebuild the lif. 2021-10-10ionic: add filterlist to debugfsShannon Nelson
Dump the filter list to debugfs - includes the device-assigned filter id and the sync'd-to-hardware status. Signed-off-by: Shannon Nelson <snelson@pensando.io> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2021-10-02ionic: remove debug statsShannon Nelson
These debug stats are not really useful, their collection is likely detrimental to performance, and they suck up a lot of memory which never gets used if no one ever enables the priv-flag to print them, so just remove these bits. 2020-09-16ionic: dynamic interrupt moderationShannon Nelson
Use the dim library to manage dynamic interrupt moderation in ionic. v3: rebase v2: untangled declarations in ionic_dim_work() Signed-off-by: Shannon Nelson <snelson@pensando.io> Acked-by: Jakub Kicinski <kuba@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2020-08-28ionic: use index not pointer for queue trackingShannon Nelson
Use index counters rather than pointers for tracking head and tail in the queues to save a little memory and to perhaps slightly faster queue processing. Signed-off-by: Shannon Nelson <snelson@pensando.io> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2020-08-28ionic: reduce contiguous memory allocation requirementShannon Nelson
Split out the queue descriptor blocks into separate dma allocations to make for smaller blocks. Co-developed-by: Neel Patel <neel@pensando.io> Signed-off-by: Shannon Nelson <snelson@pensando.io> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2020-05-06ionic: Use debugfs_create_bool() to export boolGeert Uytterhoeven
Currently bool ionic_cq.done_color is exported using debugfs_create_u8(), which requires a cast, preventing further compiler checks. Fix this by switching to debugfs_create_bool(), and dropping the cast. 2020-03-21ionic: only save good lif dentryShannon Nelson
Don't save the lif->dentry until we know we have a good value. Fixes: 1a58e196467f ("ionic: Add basic lif support") Signed-off-by: Shannon Nelson <snelson@pensando.io> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2019-09-19ionic: Remove unnecessary ternary operator in ionic_debugfs_add_identNathan Chancellor
clang warns: ../drivers/net/ethernet/pensando/ionic/ionic_debugfs.c:60:37: warning: expression result unused [-Wunused-value] ionic, &identity_fops) ? 0 : -EOPNOTSUPP; ^~~~~~~~~~~ 1 warning generated. The return value of debugfs_create_file does not need to be checked [1] and the function returns void so get rid of the ternary operator, it is unnecessary. 2019-09-05ionic: Add notifyq supportShannon Nelson
The AdminQ is fine for sending messages and requests to the NIC, but we also need to have events published from the NIC to the driver. The NotifyQ handles this for us, using the same interrupt as AdminQ. Signed-off-by: Shannon Nelson <snelson@pensando.io> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2019-09-05ionic: Add basic adminq supportShannon Nelson
Most of the NIC configuration happens through the AdminQ message queue. NAPI is used for basic interrupt handling and message queue management. These routines are set up to be shared among different types of queues when used in slow-path handling. Signed-off-by: Shannon Nelson <snelson@pensando.io> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2019-09-05ionic: Add basic lif supportShannon Nelson
The LIF is the Logical Interface, which represents the external connections. The NIC can multiplex many LIFs to a single port, but in most setups, LIF0 is the primary control for the port. Signed-off-by: Shannon Nelson <snelson@pensando.io> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2019-09-05ionic: Add hardware init and device commandsShannon Nelson
The ionic device has a small set of PCI registers, including a device control and data space, and a large set of message commands. Also adds new DEVLINK_INFO_VERSION_GENERIC tags for ASIC_ID, ASIC_REV, and FW. Signed-off-by: Shannon Nelson <snelson@pensando.io> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
