A few APIs, i.e. fwnode_is_ancestor_of(), fwnode_get_next_parent_dev(),
and get_dev_from_fwnode(), that belong specifically to the fw_devlink APIs,
may be static, but they are not.
Resolve this mess by moving them to the driver/base/core where the all
users are being resided and make static.
No functional changes intended.

Pull gpio updates from Bartosz Golaszewski:
"We have two new drivers, an assortment of updates and cleanups to many
others, and first part of the big rework of the core GPIOLIB that's
currently underway.
Add to that some code shrink in the character device module and
updates to DT bindings and that's pretty much it.
Core GPIOLIB:
- protect the global list of GPIO devices with a read-write semaphore
as it is rarely modified but can be traversed by multiple readers
at once
- remove GPIO devices from the global list when they are
*unregistered* and not when they are *released* (which only happens
when the last reference is dropped) as this may lead to a
successful lookup of an unregistered device
- remove the unnecessary "extra_checks" switch
- rename functions that are called with a lock taken
- remove duplicate includes
Character device handling:
- use locking guards to reduce the code size
- allocate the big linereq structure using the more suitable
kvzalloc()
- redulce the size of critical sections
- improve documentation
- move the debounce_period_us field out of struct gpio_desc
New drivers:
- Nuvoton NPCM SGPIO driver for BMC NPCM7xx/NPCM8xx
- Realtek DHC (Digital Home Center) SoC GPIO driver
Driver improvements:
- replace gpiochip_is_requested() with a safer alternative in the
form of gpiochip_dup_line_label() as the former returns a pointer
to a string that can be deleted
- implement the dbg_show() callback in gpio-sim
- improve the coding style for local variables by removing
unnecessary tabs
- use generic device properties instead of OF variants in gpio-mmio
- use the preferred coding style for __free() in gpio-mockup
- reuse PM ops from the gpio-tangier in gpio-elkhartlake
- rework PM and use cleanup helpers in gpio-tangier
- fix the EIC configuration in gpio-pmic-eic-sprd
- remove the unneeded call to platform_set_drvdata() in gpio-sifive
- use generic GPIO helpers for driver callbacks in gpio-dwapb
- add clock support on certain pins of gpio-ixp4xx
- don't use the core-specific DEBUG_GPIO switch in drivers
- kerneldoc improvements
DT bindings:
- add bindings for the new Realtek and Nuvoton devices
- allow gpio-ranges in gpio-dwapb
- support GPIO hogs in gpio-rockchip
- describe the label property in gpio-zynqmp-modepin
Other:
- header cleanups
- forward declarations cleanups"

device_property functions do not modify the device pointer passed to them.
The underlying of_device and fwnode_ functions actually already take
const * arguments. Mark the parameter constant to simplify conversion
from of_property to device_property functions, and to let the calling code
use const device pointers where possible.

git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/driver-core
Pull driver core updates from Greg KH:
"Here is the set of driver core and kernfs changes for 6.2-rc1.
The "big" change in here is the addition of a new macro,
container_of_const() that will preserve the "const-ness" of a pointer
passed into it.
The "problem" of the current container_of() macro is that if you pass
in a "const *", out of it can comes a non-const pointer unless you
specifically ask for it. For many usages, we want to preserve the
"const" attribute by using the same call. For a specific example, this
series changes the kobj_to_dev() macro to use it, allowing it to be
used no matter what the const value is. This prevents every subsystem
from having to declare 2 different individual macros (i.e.
kobj_const_to_dev() and kobj_to_dev()) and having the compiler enforce
the const value at build time, which having 2 macros would not do
either.
The driver for all of this have been discussions with the Rust kernel
developers as to how to properly mark driver core, and kobject,
objects as being "non-mutable". The changes to the kobject and driver
core in this pull request are the result of that, as there are lots of
paths where kobjects and device pointers are not modified at all, so
marking them as "const" allows the compiler to enforce this.
So, a nice side affect of the Rust development effort has been already
to clean up the driver core code to be more obvious about object
rules.
All of this has been bike-shedded in quite a lot of detail on lkml
with different names and implementations resulting in the tiny version
we have in here, much better than my original proposal. Lots of
subsystem maintainers have acked the changes as well.
Other than this change, included in here are smaller stuff like:
- kernfs fixes and updates to handle lock contention better
- vmlinux.lds.h fixes and updates
- sysfs and debugfs documentation updates
- device property updates
All of these have been in the linux-next tree for quite a while with
no problems"

Second, usage of _ARRAY_ELSIZE_LEN() adds unnecessary indirection

It's not fully correct to take a const parameter pointer to a struct
and return a non-const pointer to a member of that struct.
Instead, introduce a const version of the dev_fwnode() API which takes
and returns const pointers and use it where it's applicable.
With this, convert dev_fwnode() to be a macro wrapper on top of const
and non-const APIs that chooses one based on the type.

- lane bonding support and improvements
- other minor changes based on device testing
- dwc3 gadget driver changes.
It seems this driver will never be finished given that the IP core
is showing up in zillions of new devices and each implementation
decides to do something different with it...
- uvc gadget driver updates as more devices start to use and rely on
this hardware as well
- usb_maxpacket() api changes to remove an unneeded and unused
parameter.
- usb-serial driver device id updates and small cleanups
- typec cleanups and fixes based on device testing
- device tree updates for usb properties
- lots of other small fixes and driver updates.

In some cases multiple connections with the same connection id
needs to be resolved from a fwnode graph.
One such example is when separate hardware is used for performing muxing
and/or orientation switching of the SuperSpeed and SBU lines in a USB
Type-C connector. In this case the connector needs to belong to a graph
with multiple matching remote endpoints, and the Type-C controller needs
to be able to resolve them both.
Add a new API that allows this kind of lookup.

allows to map the memory mapped IO for a given device node.
This implementation does not cover the ACPI case and may be expanded

Commit 406f42fa0d3c ("net-next: When a bond have a massive amount
of VLANs...") introduced a rbtree for faster Ethernet address look
up. To maintain netdev->dev_addr in this tree we need to make all
the writes to it got through appropriate helpers.
There is a handful of drivers which pass netdev->dev_addr as
the destination buffer to device_get_mac_address(). Add a helper
which takes a dev pointer instead, so it can call an appropriate
helper.

The function device_add_software_node() was meant to
register the node supplied to it, but only if that node
wasn't already registered. Right now the function attempts
to always register the node. That will cause a failure with
nodes that are already registered.
Fixing that by incrementing the reference count of the nodes
that have already been registered, and only registering the
new nodes. Also, clarifying the behaviour in the function
documentation.

At the moment the function device_del() is calling
device_remove_properties() unconditionally. That will result into the
reference count of the software node attached to the device being
decremented, and in most cases it will hit 0 at that point. So in
practice device_del() will unregister the software node attached to
the device, even if that was not the intention of the caller. Right
now software nodes can not be reused or shared because of that.
So device_del() can not unregister the software nodes unconditionally
like that. Unfortunately some of the users of device_add_properties()
are now relying on this behaviour. Because of that, and also in
general, we do need a function that can offer similar behaviour where
the lifetime of the software node is bound to the lifetime of the
device. But it just has to be a separate function so the behaviour is
optional. We can not remove the device_remove_properties() call from
device_del() before we have that new function, and before we have
replaced device_add_properties() calls with it in all the places that
require that behaviour.
This adds function device_create_managed_software_node() that can be
used for exactly that purpose. Software nodes created with it are
declared "managed", and separate handling for those nodes is added to
the software node code. The reference count of the "managed" nodes is
decremented when the device they are attached to is removed. This will
not affect the other nodes that are not declared "managed".
The function device_create_managed_software_node() has also one
additional feature that device_add_properties() does not have. It
allows the software nodes created with it to be part of a node
hierarchy by taking also an optional parent node as parameter.
