Over time it seems like this tree is collecting more and more tiny driver subsystems in one place, making it easier for those maintainers, which is why this is getting larger. 2021-02-04dt-bindings: Fix errors in 'if' schemasRob Herring
Properties in if/then schemas weren't getting checked by the meta-schemas. Enabling meta-schema checks finds several errors. The use of an 'items' schema (as opposed to the list form) is wrong in some cases as it applies to all entries. 'contains' is the correct schema to use in the case of multiple entries. 2021-01-13dt-bindings: phy: phy-stm32-usbphyc: move PLL supplies to parent nodeAmelie Delaunay
PLL block requires to be powered with 1v1 and 1v8 supplies to catch ENABLE signal. Currently, supplies are managed through phy_ops .power_on/off, and PLL activation/deactivation is managed through phy_ops .init/exit. The sequence of phy_ops .power_on/.phy_init, .power_off/.exit is USB drivers dependent. To ensure a good behavior of the PLL, supplies have to be managed at PLL activation/deactivation. That means the supplies need to be put in usbphyc parent node and not in phy children nodes. 2021-01-11dt-bindings: Add missing array size constraintsRob Herring
DT properties which can have multiple entries need to specify what the entries are and define how many entries there can be. In the case of only a single entry, just 'maxItems: 1' is sufficient. Add the missing entry constraints. These were found with a modified meta-schema. Unfortunately, there are a few cases where the size constraints are not defined such as common bindings, so the meta-schema can't be part of the normal checks. 2020-12-18dt-bindings: Fix JSON pointersRob Herring
The correct syntax for JSON pointers begins with a '/' after the '#'. Without a '/', the string should be interpreted as a subschema identifier. The jsonschema module currently doesn't handle subschema identifiers and incorrectly allows JSON pointers to begin without a '/'. Let's fix this before it becomes a problem when jsonschema module is fixed. The PHY registers happens to be at the beginning of a large zone containing interleaved system registers (mainly clocks, power management, PHY control..), found in all Amlogic SoC so far. The goal is to model it the same way as the other "features" of this zone, like Documentation/devicetree/bindings/clock/amlogic,gxbb-clkc.txt and Documentation/devicetree/bindings/power/amlogic,meson-ee-pwrc.yaml and have a coherent bindings scheme over the Amlogic SoCs. 2020-09-23dt-bindings: phy: ti,phy-j721e-wiz: fix bindings for torrent phyTomi Valkeinen
When WIZ wraps a Cadence Torrent PHY (instead of Cadence Sierra PHY) there is a difference in the refclk-dig node: Torrent only has two clocks instead of Sierra's four clocks. Add minItems: 2 to solve this. Additionally, in our use case we only need to use assigned-clock for a single clock, but the current binding requires either no assigned-clocks or two. Fix this by adding minItems: 1 to all the assigned-clock properties. There was also an extra trailing whitespace, which this patch removes.
