The seg6, ioam6 and rpl lwtunnels size their skb_cow_head() request as
the length they are about to push plus dst_dev_overhead(), then push the
new headers and rebuild the mac header below them with
skb_mac_header_rebuild(). That rebuild needs skb->mac_len of headroom,
but dst_dev_overhead() leaves LL_RESERVED_SPACE() of the egress device,
16 bytes for plain Ethernet.
Where the mac header is longer than that, as it is on ingress through a
VLAN device with reorder_hdr off, the rebuild runs out of room:
skb_set_mac_header(skb, -skb->mac_len) computes a negative offset,
stores it unchecked in the u16 skb->mac_header, and the memmove that
follows writes skb->mac_len bytes about 64 KB past skb->head.
Forwarding plain ping6 traffic through such a device reproduces it on
all five seg6 encapsulation modes and on the rpl and ioam6 inline paths;
skb->mac_header comes back as 65534 on a 704-byte head.
Return the larger of the two. The helper already returns skb->mac_len
when it has no dst, so this only makes the other branch agree, and it
covers every caller rather than each call site in turn.

The Hawi SoC is a derivative of Kaanapali with an updated camera
clock controller (CAMCC). While the overall block structure is
similar, Hawi's CAMCC differs from Kaanapali in the following ways:
- Uses Taycan EHA-T PLLs instead of Taycan EKO-T PLLs, with an
additional ninth PLL (PLL8)
- Adds a SQPF block with its own GDSC, AHB clock, and BCR reset
- Adds a CX GDSC (CAM_CC_TITAN_TOP_CX_GDSC) for the camera subsystem
- Expands ICP from one to two instances (ICP_0 and ICP_1)
Due to these differences, Hawi requires its own 'qcom,hawi-camcc'
compatible string and a dedicated driver.
The BIST MCLK clock controller (CAMBISTMCLKCC) is unchanged between
Hawi and Kaanapali, allowing the existing Kaanapali CAMBISTMCLKCC
driver to support both SoCs without modification.
Add the 'qcom,hawi-camcc' and 'qcom,hawi-cambistmclkcc' compatible
strings to the binding, along with the corresponding clock ID header.

Commit 6709d4b7bc2e ("net: nfc: Fix use-after-free caused by
nfc_llcp_find_local") attempted to fix a use-after-free (UAF) issue by
invoking nfc_llcp_local_put(local) after accessing local->gb. However,
if the reference count drops to zero, local is freed immediately,
leading to a use-after-free when callers access the returned pointer.
Alternative approaches using dynamic allocation (e.g. kmemdup) introduced
memory leaks because callers consistently treat the returned pointer as
borrowed memory.
Fix this properly by refactoring nfc_llcp_general_bytes() and
nfc_get_local_general_bytes() to accept a caller-provided output buffer
(out_gb) and its maximum length (gb_max_len). The general bytes are
safely copied into out_gb before calling nfc_llcp_local_put(local),
ensuring safe lifetime management without ownership transfer complications.
Update all callers across drivers (microread, pn533, pn544, st21nfca,
digital_dep, and nci) to provide their own destination buffers and pass
them to nfc_get_local_general_bytes().

When move_pfn_range_to_zone() or remove_pfn_range_from_zone() updates a
zone, set_zone_contiguous() rescans the entire zone pageblock-by-pageblock
to rebuild zone->contiguous. For large zones this is a significant cost
during memory hotplug and hot-unplug.
Add a new zone member, pages_with_online_memmap, that tracks the
number of pages within the zone span that have an online memory map,
including present pages and memory holes whose memory map has been
initialized and for which pfn_to_online_page() succeeds.
For early boot memory, pages_with_online_memmap is calculated in
memmap_init_zone_range(). PFNs initialized by memmap_init_range() are
included in pages_with_online_memmap, and hole PFNs for which
pfn_to_online_page() succeeds are also counted in
init_unavailable_range(). For hotplugged memory,
pages_with_online_memmap is updated through adjust_present_page_count(),
which is called during memory online and offline operations. When
spanned_pages == pages_with_online_memmap, every PFN in the zone span
has a valid memmap entry, so pfn_to_page() can be called for any PFN
within the zone span without an additional pfn_valid() check.
Note: this counter may temporarily undercount when pages with an
online memory map exist outside the current zone span. Such pages
are only created during boot, when initializing the memory map of
pages that do not fall into any zone span. The undercount itself
can only happen after boot, during memory hotplug, when growing
the zone to cover such pages and later shrinking it back, which
may result in a "too small" value. This is safe: it merely
prevents detecting a contiguous zone.
Here is an example (page numbers are just for illustration purposes):
after boot:
[ zone span ]
[ zone pages ]
spanned=10, initialized=15, online=10
online == spanned -> contiguous
growing after hotplug (hotplug 5):
[ zone span ]
[ zone pages ] [ zone pages ]
spanned=30, initialized=20, online=15
online != spanned -> not contiguous
shrinking after hotunplug (hotunplug 5 again):
[ zone span ]
[ zone pages ]
spanned=15, initialized=15, online=10
online != spanned -> not contiguous although contiguous
The contiguity check using pages_with_online_memmap is stricter than
the old pageblock-by-pageblock scan. The old set_zone_contiguous()
iterated at pageblock granularity via pageblock_pfn_to_page(), so a
zone could be marked contiguous even if a subsection-sized hole
existed within a pageblock. The new check requires
spanned_pages == pages_with_online_memmap, meaning every PFN in the
zone span must satisfy pfn_to_online_page().
The following test cases of memory hotplug for a VM [1], tested in the
environment [2], show that this optimization can significantly reduce the
memory hotplug time [3].

On 64-bit systems, outgoing BR/EDR connections always fall back to page
scan repetition mode R2 with no clock offset once the system has been
up for more than five minutes, even when inquiry found the peer only
seconds earlier. This lengthens paging and can increase the risk of a
Page Timeout.
The inquiry cache stores jiffies in __u32 timestamps, but its age
helpers subtract them from unsigned long jiffies. INITIAL_JIFFIES casts
-300 * HZ through unsigned int, so jiffies crosses 2^32 five minutes
after boot on 64-bit systems. Assigning it to __u32 then drops the upper
32 bits. In one trace, a 7.6-second-old entry (HZ=1000) was reported as
2^32 + 7620 ticks old and rejected by hci_acl_create_conn_sync().
hci_inquiry() is affected by the same truncation when checking the whole
cache. 32-bit systems are unaffected because unsigned long is 32 bits
wide there.
Use unsigned long for both timestamps so they have the same width as
jiffies on 32-bit and 64-bit systems, and update the debugfs format
specifier accordingly.

The GENI_TO_CORE ("qup-core") ICC vote selects the QUP Core 2X clock
rate. The CORE_2X_*_MHZ constants are expressed in Bps, but their
values are several orders of magnitude too small. For example, the
50 MHz threshold is represented by 2500 rather than 25000000 Bps.
As a result, clients using these constants can severely under-vote the
QUP Core clock.
Correct the constants to their intended Bps thresholds so that the ICC
provider selects the corresponding QUP Core 2X clock rate.

HDMI receivers need to pull the HPD pin low for at least 100 ms to
indicate that a new EDID is available. In practice, HZ / 7 is a good
value for that as this gives enough slack for video sources to detect
this situation. Due to clock frequency differences and imprecise
video source implementations using exactly 100 ms (or even a bit more)
may still cause this to be missed by the video source.
Over many years HZ / 7 (143 ms) has proven to be a good safe value
for this.
Add a new #define to v4l2-dv-timings.h and modify the various drivers
that do this to use this define. Most already used HZ / 7, but some
were a bit longer.

The V4L2 control framework is designed to allow drivers to instantiate
controls and clusters without checking for errors after each call,
checking hdl->error only once at the end.
However, if allocating the master control (controls[0]) fails, e.g. due to
memory allocation failure, v4l2_ctrl_cluster() triggers a WARNING:
ncontrols == 0 || controls[0] == NULL
WARNING: drivers/media/v4l2-core/v4l2-ctrls-core.c:2525 at v4l2_ctrl_cluster
Additionally, v4l2_ctrl_auto_cluster() attempts to dereference
master->minimum without checking if controls[0] is NULL, leading to a
NULL pointer dereference when master control creation fails.
Update both v4l2_ctrl_cluster() and v4l2_ctrl_auto_cluster() to silently
return if controls[0] is NULL, preserving the design that control
creation errors are caught at the end when the driver checks hdl->error.
Also update function documentation in include/media/v4l2-ctrls.h.

Drop the unused
definitions.

Drivers rely on tty_port_tty_vhangup() to synchronously hang up their
ports before tearing down resources as part of deregistration (e.g. on
physical disconnect).
If tty_port_tty_vhangup() races with another hangup it may however
return before the port has been shut down. This is in turn can lead to
use-after-free and NULL-pointer dereferences in racing ioctls (including
a synchronous hangup) and in processing of racing asynchronous hangups
(carrier loss).
Add the missing serialisation to tty_port_tty_vhangup() and
tty_port_hangup() so that the former does not return until the port has
been shut down also when there is a racing hangup.
Note that serial core does not use tty_port_hangup(), but it already
holds the port mutex when clearing port->tty and shutting down the port
in uart_hangup().

The break ioctls can race with hangup and end up calling into a tty
driver for a device that is already gone or powered down.
Drivers must handle this race, but TCSBRK and TCSBRKP should still be
aborted to avoid calling back into the driver after a user-controlled
timeout (possibly even after the tty has been reopened).
Note that drivers should disable any break state on shutdown so just
return on hangup (calling break_ctl() again is racy and will most likely
fail for drivers handling the race).

perf_clear_branch_entry_bitfields() clears the bitfields of struct
perf_branch_entry one by one and leaves from/to alone, since callers
overwrite those straight away. The list has to be kept in sync with the
struct by hand and has already fallen behind: new_type and priv were
added to perf_branch_entry and never added here.
Only BRBE writes those two, and neither for every record.
brbe_set_perf_entry_type() leaves new_type alone for a branch type it
does not recognise, and priv is not set for source-only records.
arm_pmuv3.c allocates the per-CPU branch stack with kmalloc(), so such a
record reaches userspace with whatever the slot held: uninitialised
kmalloc() data on the first pass over the buffer, the previous record's
values after that. Nothing under arch/x86/events/ writes either field,
so only arm64 is affected.
Assign the whole entry at each site instead. Everything not named is
then zero, and there is no list to keep in sync. The bitfields add up to
exactly 64 bits, so the struct has no padding to leave undefined.
perf_clear_branch_entry_bitfields() has no callers left, so remove it.
perf_entry_from_brbe_regset() assigns an empty literal instead, since it
fills from/to conditionally. PERF_BR_SPEC_NA is 0, so dropping the
explicit spec assignment changes nothing.

The attribute structure defined in driver code never need to be
modified. Allow them to be marked as const.
As there are many drivers which use these attributes, prepare for a
phased transition by using a union of const and non-const attributes.
After all drivers have been migrated to the const variant, the non-const
one can be replaced by the const one and the transition machinery will
be removed again.

FD_PREPARE() releases the fd as soon as the file expression fails. The
fd either holds the descriptor or the error. The separate field is
redundant. Make fd and file plain members and struct fd_prepare simpler.
Callers of FD_PREPARE() get a const pointer to the guard. Simplify all
users as they can now easily access the trivial struct.

struct vfsmount, struct mount_kattr and struct kstatmount and return one
from mnt_idmap(), file_mnt_idmap() and ovl_upper_mnt_idmap(). Finally,
also make mnt_idmap_get() return a const pointer. Also convert the

alloc_mnt_idmap() keeps returning a non-const pointer. It is the only

Convert to const struct mnt_idmap.
A mount's idmapping is immutable. The only thing that is allowed to be
modified afterwards is the reference count and that is hidden behind
mnt_idmap_get() and mnt_idmap_put(). Everything else only ever reads
from the idmapping. This is the same model that struct cred uses and the
idmapping is also rather sensitive.
So make the idmap argument const wherever we can. The conversion is done
from the bottom up so callers can continue to pass a non-const pointer
to a const parameter until the conversion is finished.
No functional changes.
