Samsung SoC drivers for v6.15
1. Add support for Exynos USI v1 serial engines. Drivers already
supported newer IP blocks - USI v2 - present in Exynos850 and newer.
A bit older ARM64 designs, like Exynos8895 use older USI v1 block.
2. Add Exynos ACPM (Alive Clock and Power Manager) protocol driver
for Google GS101 SoC. ACPM protocol allows communication between the
power management firmware and other embedded processors.
3. Exynos2200: Add PMU, ChipID and SYSREG Devicetree bindings.
4. Exynos7870: Add PMU and ChipID Devicetree bindings.
5. Various cleanups.

Arm FF-A updates for v6.15
This update primarily focuses on FF-A framework notification support
along with other improvements, including UUID handling enhancements
and various fixes.
1. FF-A framework notification upport
- Adds support for multiple UUIDs per partition to register individual
SRI callbacks.
- Handles Rx buffer full framework notifications and provides a general
interface for future extensions.
2. Improved multiple UUID/services per-partition handling
- Adds support for UUID passing in FFA_MSG_SEND2, improving multiple
UUID/service support in the driver.
- Introduces a helper function to check whether a partition can
receive REQUEST2 messages.
3. Partition handling generic improvements
- Implements device unregistration for better partition cleanup.
- Improves handling of the host partition presence in partition info.
4. FF-A version updates
- Upgrades the driver version to FF-A v1.2.
- Rejects major versions higher than the driver version as incompatible.
5. Big-Endian support fixes
- Fixes big-endian issues in:
__ffa_partition_info_regs_get()
__ffa_partition_info_get()
- Big-endian support is still incomplete, and only these changes can
be verified without additional application/testing updates at the
moment. We can discover all the partitions correctly with big-endian
kernel now.
6. Miscellaneous fixes
- Fixes function prototype misalignments in: sync_send_receive{,2}
- Adds explicit type casting for return values from: FFA_VERSION
and NOTIFICATION_INFO_GET
- Corrects vCPU list parsing in ffa_notification_info_get().
7. UUID management in the driver and DMA mask updates
- Replaces UUID buffer with the standard UUID format in ffa_partition_info
structure.
- Fixes a typo in some FF-A bus macros.
- Sets dma_mask for FF-A devices.
In short, this update enhances notification handling, UUID support, and
overall robustness of the FF-A driver while addressing multiple fixes
and cleanups.

Arm SMCCC update for v6.15
Just a single update introducing the support for the optional SOC_ID
name string from the Arm SMCCC v1.6 specification.
If the SOC_ID name string is implemented, the machine field of the SoC
Device Attributes will reflect it.
The original intent of SOC_ID was to provide a JEP-106 code for the SiP
and the SoC revision to uniquely identify the SoC. However, there has
been a request to add this optional name so that SoC firmware can
directly provide the SoC name to the OS.
This change avoids the need for frequent updates to various tools that
would otherwise require maintaining hardcoded model/machine name tables
for new SoCs.

Issue Number 1.6 of the Arm SMC Calling Convention introduces an optional
SOC_ID name string. If implemented, point the 'machine' field of the SoC
Device Attributes at this string so that it will appear under
/sys/bus/soc/devices/soc0/machine.
On Arm SMC compliant SoCs, this will allow things like 'lscpu' to
eventually get a SoC provider model name from there rather than each
tool/utility needing to get a possibly inconsistent, obsolete, or incorrect
model/machine name from its own hardcoded model/machine name table.

Client drivers might want a copy of the crashlog to stash into a
devcoredump blob. Since device memory management can be very variable,
the actual devcoredump implementation is left to client drivers. Pass

Framework notifications are doorbells that are rung by the partition
managers to signal common events to an endpoint. These doorbells cannot
be rung by an endpoint directly. A partition manager can signal a
Framework notification in response to an FF-A ABI invocation by an
endpoint.
Two additional notify_ops interface is being added for any FF-A device/
driver to register and unregister for such a framework notifications.

Both the FF-A core and the bus were in a single module before the
commit 18c250bd7ed0 ("firmware: arm_ffa: Split bus and driver into distinct modules").
The arm_ffa_bus_exit() takes care of unregistering all the FF-A devices.
Now that there are 2 distinct modules, if the core driver is unloaded and
reloaded, it will end up adding duplicate FF-A devices as the previously
registered devices weren't unregistered when we cleaned up the modules.
Fix the same by unregistering all the FF-A devices on the FF-A bus during
the cleaning up of the partitions and hence the cleanup of the module.

"Here is a driver core new api for 6.14-rc3 that is being added to
allow platform devices from stop being abused.
It adds a new 'faux_device' structure and bus and api to allow almost
a straight or simpler conversion from platform devices that were not
really a platform device. It also comes with a binding for rust, with
an example driver in rust showing how it's used.
I'm adding this now so that the patches that convert the different
drivers and subsystems can all start flowing into linux-next now
through their different development trees, in time for 6.15-rc1.
We have a number that are already reviewed and tested, but adding
those conversions now doesn't seem right. For now, no one is using
this, and it passes all build tests from 0-day and linux-next, so all
should be good"

Alive Clock and Power Manager (ACPM) Message Protocol is defined for
the purpose of communication between the ACPM firmware and masters
(AP, AOC, ...). ACPM firmware operates on the Active Power Management
(APM) module that handles overall power activities.
ACPM and masters regard each other as independent hardware component and
communicate with each other using mailbox messages and shared memory.
This protocol driver provides the interface for all the client drivers
making use of the features offered by the APM. Add ACPM protocol support.

KVM is dependent on the PSP SEV driver and PSP SEV driver needs to be
loaded before KVM module. In case of module loading any dependent
modules are automatically loaded but in case of built-in modules there
is no inherent mechanism available to specify dependencies between
modules and ensure that any dependent modules are loaded implicitly.
Add a new external API interface for PSP module initialization which
allows PSP SEV driver to be loaded explicitly if KVM is built-in.

This reverts commit 011b0335903832facca86cd8ed05d7d8d94c9c76.
Sabrina reports that the revert may trigger warnings due to intervening
changes, especially the ability to rise MAX_SKB_FRAGS. Let's drop it
and revisit once that part is also ironed out.

chan_lock to a general lock of l2cap_conn so whenever it is being held

Many drivers abuse the platform driver/bus system as it provides a
simple way to create and bind a device to a driver-specific set of
probe/release functions. Instead of doing that, and wasting all of the
memory associated with a platform device, here is a "faux" bus that
can be used instead.

The conditions for whether or not a request is allowed adding to a
completion batch are a bit hard to read, and they also have a few
issues. One is that ioerror may indeed be a random value on passthrough,
and it's being checked unconditionally of whether or not the given
request is a passthrough request or not.
Rewrite the conditions to be separate for easier reading, and only check
ioerror for non-passthrough requests. This fixes an issue with bio
unmapping on passthrough, where it fails getting added to a batch. This
both leads to suboptimal performance, and may trigger a potential
schedule-under-atomic condition for polled passthrough IO.

Starting with DPCD version 2.0 bits 6:3 of the DP_DSC_BITS_PER_PIXEL_INC
DPCD register contains the NativeYCbCr422_MAX_bpp_DELTA field, which can
be non-zero as opposed to earlier DPCD versions, hence decoding the
bit_per_pixel increment value at bits 2:0 in the same register requires
applying a mask, do so.

The intel-lpmd tool [1], which uses the THERMAL_GENL_ATTR_CPU_CAPABILITY
attribute to receive HFI events from kernel space, encounters a
segmentation fault after commit 1773572863c4 ("thermal: netlink: Add the
commands and the events for the thresholds").
The issue arises because the THERMAL_GENL_ATTR_CPU_CAPABILITY raw value
was changed while intel_lpmd still uses the old value.
Although intel_lpmd can be updated to check the THERMAL_GENL_VERSION and
use the appropriate THERMAL_GENL_ATTR_CPU_CAPABILITY value, the commit
itself is questionable.
The commit introduced a new element in the middle of enum thermal_genl_attr,
which affects many existing attributes and introduces potential risks
and unnecessary maintenance burdens for userspace thermal netlink event
users.
Solve the issue by moving the newly introduced
THERMAL_GENL_ATTR_TZ_PREV_TEMP attribute to the end of the
enum thermal_genl_attr. This ensures that all existing thermal generic
netlink attributes remain unaffected.

This reverts commit dbae2b062824 ("net: skb: introduce and use a single
page frag cache"). The intended goal of such change was to counter a
performance regression introduced by commit 3226b158e67c ("net: avoid
32 x truesize under-estimation for tiny skbs").
Unfortunately, the blamed commit introduces another regression for the
virtio_net driver. Such a driver calls napi_alloc_skb() with a tiny
size, so that the whole head frag could fit a 512-byte block.
The single page frag cache uses a 1K fragment for such allocation, and
the additional overhead, under small UDP packets flood, makes the page
allocator a bottleneck.
Thanks to commit bf9f1baa279f ("net: add dedicated kmem_cache for
typical/small skb->head"), this revert does not re-introduce the
original regression. Actually, in the relevant test on top of this
revert, I measure a small but noticeable positive delta, just above
noise level.
The revert itself required some additional mangling due to the
introduction of the SKB_HEAD_ALIGN() helper and local lock infra in the
affected code.

Pull vfs fixes from Christian Brauner:
- Fix fsnotify FMODE_NONOTIFY* handling.
This also disables fsnotify on all pseudo files by default apart from
very select exceptions. This carries a regression risk so we need to
watch out and adapt accordingly. However, it is overall a significant
improvement over the current status quo where every rando file can
get fsnotify enabled.
- Cleanup and simplify lockref_init() after recent lockref changes.
- Fix vboxfs build with gcc-15.
- Add an assert into inode_set_cached_link() to catch corrupt links.
- Allow users to also use an empty string check to detect whether a
given mount option string was empty or not.
- Fix how security options were appended to statmount()'s ->mnt_opt
field.
- Fix statmount() selftests to always check the returned mask.
- Fix uninitialized value in vfs_statx_path().
- Fix pidfs_ioctl() sanity checks to guard against ioctl() overloading
and preserve extensibility.

fs: fix adding security options to statmount.mnt_opt
fsnotify: use accessor to set FMODE_NONOTIFY_*
lockref: remove count argument of lockref_init
gfs2: switch to lockref_init(..., 1)
gfs2: use lockref_init for gl_lockref
statmount: let unset strings be empty

This costs a strlen() call when instatianating a symlink.
Preferably it would be hidden behind VFS_WARN_ON (or compatible), but
there is no such facility at the moment. With the facility in place the
call can be patched out in production kernels.
In the meantime, since the cost is being paid unconditionally, use the
result to a fixup the bad caller.
This is not expected to persist in the long run (tm).
Sample splat:
bad length passed for symlink [/tmp/syz-imagegen43743633/file0/file0] (got 131109, expected 37)

The FMODE_NONOTIFY_* bits are a 2-bits mode. Open coding manipulation
of those bits is risky. Use an accessor file_set_fsnotify_mode() to
set the mode.
Rename file_set_fsnotify_mode() => file_set_fsnotify_mode_from_watchers()
to make way for the simple accessor name.

All users of lockref_init() now initialize the count to 1, so hardcode
that and remove the count argument.

The destination argument of memtostr*() and strtomem*() must be a
fixed-size char array at compile time, so there is no need to use
__builtin_object_size() (which is useful for when an argument is
either a pointer or unknown). Instead use ARRAY_SIZE(), which has the
benefit of working around a bug in Clang (fixed[1] in 15+) that got
__builtin_object_size() wrong sometimes.
