Original amdgpu_cper_fini skips all CPER cleanup work for any SR-IOV VF directly.
When AMDGIM_FEATURE_RAS_CPER is enabled on VF side, CPER related buffers/workitems
are allocated during initialization, but the old code returns early without
releasing these resources, which leads to kernel memory leak.

Allow early FB reads to fall back to BAR0 when the VRAM aperture is not ready.
This lets SR-IOV VFs consume host-provided init data before requesting full GPU access.
For ASICs that support request_init_data,
defer full GPU access until after non-GPU early init to shorten the full-access window.
Legacy ASICs(before NV12) do not send request_init_data;
the host dumps init data only during full GPU access,
so keep the original early full-access request path for them.

[WHY]
The out fence was signalled on the first vblank after arming, before the
DMA finished copying, and the old code worked around this with an
mdelay() in the IRQ handler.
[HOW]
Hold a vblank reference while writeback is pending and signal the out
fence on the second vblank instead of using mdelay(). Add
amdgpu_dm_crtc_complete_writeback() to finish and clean up writeback
from both the IRQ and teardown paths.
This can be verified by running IGT's kms_writeback 20 times without
timeout errors.

Building for ARCH=um with W=1 C=1 makes the "amd_sriov_msg_vf2pf_info
must be 1 KB" static assertion in amdgv_sriovmsg.h fail under sparse,
exposed after UML builds were enabled.
Sparse does not honor #pragma pack(push, 1) for the nested ucode_info
struct, so it sizes each element as 8 bytes instead of 5 and computes
the surrounding structure as larger than 1 KB. The compilers get this
right via the enclosing pragma, but the annotation should be explicit.

VM lookup users now resolve DRM PASIDs through the global PASID xarray:
PASID -> fpriv -> VM
The per-device vm_manager.pasids xarray is no longer needed.
Remove PASID registration and removal from the VM init/fini paths, drop
vm_manager PASID initialization/cleanup, and remove the xarray from
struct amdgpu_vm_manager.
The PASID is allocated only after amdgpu_vm_init() completes, so the
initializer no longer consumes or assigns a PASID. Remove the now-unused
argument while keeping vm->pasid as per-VM state for TLB flushes and
other hardware programming paths.
v6:
- Remove the now-unused PASID argument from amdgpu_vm_init().
- Remove the related vm->pasid assignment and error-path reset from VM
init.
- Keep vm->pasid in struct amdgpu_vm for existing hardware users.

Allocate DRM PASIDs with fpriv and resolve VM lookup users through:

This preserves the root BO reference and revalidation flow in

- Assign the allocated PASID to vm->pasid in the DRM open path.
- Unpublish PASID ownership before tearing down the VM in both the

AMDGPU already has a global PASID xarray used for PASID allocation.
Allow amdgpu_pasid_alloc() to optionally store the owning DRM
file-private object directly.
Initial callers pass NULL. A later patch in this series passes the DRM
file-private object for DRM PASIDs.
This prepares for using:
PASID -> fpriv -> VM
instead of:
PASID -> VM
Clear the stored owner from amdgpu_pasid_free_delayed() before waiting
for outstanding fences so PASID lookups cannot observe a stale fpriv
while the PASID itself is pending delayed release.
v6:
- Correct the PASID allocator kernel-doc to refer to the XArray cyclic
allocator.
- Document that PASID owner lookup may return NULL and that the returned
fpriv remains valid only while the PASID lock is held.
- No code changes. Retain Christian's Reviewed-by tag.
v5:
- Store NULL instead of xa_mk_value(0) for ownerless PASIDs.
- Simplify owner clearing by unconditionally storing NULL.
v4:
- Add fpriv as an optional parameter to amdgpu_pasid_alloc().
- Drop separate amdgpu_pasid_set_fpriv()/clear_fpriv() helpers.
- Clear PASID owner from amdgpu_pasid_free_delayed().

Allow using multiple SDMA schedulers only on GPUs where

This consideration is necessary because all GART windows

amdgpu_acpi_vfct_bios() fetches the VFCT table with acpi_get_table()
but never releases it. acpi_get_table() takes a reference on the
table (incrementing its validation_count and mapping it on the 0->1
transition); without a paired acpi_put_table() the mapping is leaked
on every call, whether or not a matching VBIOS image is found.
Route all exit paths after the table is acquired through a common
acpi_put_table(). The VBIOS image is copied out with kmemdup() before
the table is released, so it remains valid for the caller.

On systems where PCI bus renumbering occurs (e.g. pci=realloc,
resource conflicts), the runtime bus number may differ from the
BIOS POST bus number recorded in the VFCT table. This causes
amdgpu_acpi_vfct_bios() to fail finding the VBIOS even though
the correct device entry exists.
Introduce amdgpu_acpi_vfct_match() which treats the bus number
as a soft filter: vendor/device/function identity is the hard
requirement, while exact bus match is the preferred path. When
bus numbers disagree but device identity matches, accept the
VFCT entry and log a dev_notice for diagnostics.

amdgpu_bo_create_reserved() only allocates a new BO when
*bo_ptr (struct amdgpu_bo **bo_ptr as input parameter) is
NULL, it simply skips creation when *bo_ptr is non-NULL.
But it unconditionally reserves, pins, gart allocates
and maps the BO afterwards.
When the same non-NULL BO pointer is passed in again,
for example firmware buffers that live in adev and are
re-loaded on every resume / cp_resume / start
under AMDGPU_FW_LOAD_DIRECT, amdgpu_bo_pin() just increases
pin_count unconditionally, however the matching teardown only unpins
once, so pin_count never drops to zero, so TTM is not able
to move, swap or evict a BO, causing BO leaks.
This commit fixes this issue by only pinning the bo
once at creation, and repeated calls no longer
take additional pin references.

Fix the error cleanup path in gfx_v9_4_3_set_userq_eop_interrupts() by
using the correct loop condition. This ensures all previously enabled
EOP IRQs are released if setup fails.

Allow using multiple SDMA schedulers only on GPUs where
we are allowed to do concurrent VM flushes.
This consideration is necessary because all GART windows
are mapped in VMID 0 (the kernel VMID) so each buffer
entity would flush VMID 0 concurrently.
Practically this means that we can't use multiple SDMA
engines for TTM on GFX6-8 and Navi 1x.

The XGMI reset-on-init path can run while the device is still at the
minimal init level, such as during an NPS memory partition switch. In
that flow the normal RAS IP block hw_init is skipped, so unified RAS
is not enabled when the early CPER initialization is attempted, leaving
CPER disabled for the rest of the device's lifetime.
Resume RAS after the XGMI reset-on-init completes. Once the RAS manager
resume succeeds, the RAS resume wrapper performs deferred CPER
initialization, keeping the path a no-op for devices where CPER was
already initialized.
Keep the deferred CPER retry and its debugfs registration together in
the CPER helper. The normal debugfs ring walk skips the CPER ring until
CPER is enabled, so the ring debugfs entry is created either by the
deferred helper when debugfs is already available or by the normal
debugfs walk.

We can't print the IP block name when the IP block is NULL.
Note that it should never be NULL, the only way that
can happen is when amdgpu_ip_from_ring() is missing the
given ring type. The check is just there to be sure.

Simple KMS helpers are deprecated because they introduce an unnecessary
intermediate layer between atomic modesetting and the DRM driver.
Inline the functionality of drm_simple_encoder_init() to remove
